Too much notch when cutting an alder

ow.. I have never seen that or even heard of it. I would have thought the bar would pinch before the tree just let go like that

You should run away at a 45 degree angle away from the tree. You did not have a clear path to go in that direction. I thought it would have barber chaired, but it didn't. Alder loves to do that.

@@outsidetime911 proper way to cut and alder is a 1/3 face and the a bore leaving the holding wood in the back not the front to prevent chairing.
