The Accentus GM tournament of this year's Biel International Chess Festival is a 6-player double round-robin tournament taking place from 22 July to 1 August 2018 in Biel, Switzerland featuring the reigning World Champion Magnus Carlsen, Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, Peter Svidler, David Navara and local hero Nico Georgiadis.
Players receive 100 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 50 minutes for 20 moves, then 15 minutes to the end of the game, plus a 30-second increment starting from move one. Official website: www.bielchessfestival.ch

This is in no way a simple move. Seeing the move as a candidate move isn't that hard seeing all the ideas behind it is definitely difficult and realising that you are better in that position isn't easy either.

Kg6 would be a mistake, position would remain even after ...Qb1+ followed by Qc2 with pressure on the c5 pawn, black could be able to hold a draw, although for a human it would be very difficult indeed

Hey, I'm getting better at these photo challenges! Actually, I'm getting better at chess, Thanks, agadmator! :) So, when he gave a clue that the opening was the key to the photo challenge, I realized that it was Ruy Lopez...the "spanish opening" and a very common opening or a variant of this that I have seen over many of the games on KZbin.

You probably are better than you think. Especially since in a real game no one is going to tell you “white to move and win a piece” or such. It’s always easier to find the move when you are told there is one. A lot of ppl (myself included) aren’t that bad at calculating but just forget to in actual games

At 8.06, I think you mean to say there is a move that gives WHITE a lot of advantage. Why would we be looking for a move played by Carlsen, White, that gives black a lot of advantage? I found this confusing and wasn't sure what we were supposed to be looking for.

I got confused...pause and find the move that gives black advantage? Why would I do that if I'm playing white pieces? I think any pause should be clearly noted as find the best move for white/black...I had to rewind this a few times...but then again, I'm extremely literal.

Why doesn't Mamedyarov play Qb7 after b3? It leaves queen on b file to threaten bishop once c4 then bxc4. I must be missing something...

Suggestion: not everyone is interested in the photo challenge, so can you add a 'skip photo challenge' button which leads directly to the start of the game
