Big fan of Parodius here, have quite a few of these titles ranging 4 systems/handhelds: SFC: Parodius Gokujou Parodius PSP: Parodius Portable PS1: Parodius Deluxe Pack Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius Saturn: Konami MSX Antiques, has the MSX Parodius on it Parodius Deluxe Pack Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius Sexy Parodius Needless to say I still need the FC and GB Paro Da's, the SFC Jikkyou, and the much expensive MSX pack and even more expensive Sexy Parodius to finish me off. This one here took time to grow on me, wasn't an instant YAY in my book. Over time I grew to appreciate this one as much as the rest of the series.

Jikkyou SFC gotten, a shade under $50 cart only, but then again, this game isn't getting cheaper.

Definitely. The game's name "Parodius" is a combination of the words "parody" and "Gradius". Basically it's Konami's way of making fun of their own series.

I think at this point, no one plays the Accident stages found only in the PS1/PSP ports of this game, as they can be disabled in the options menu. Those stages really add nothing to the game.

The original was for the SNES, but this particular remake for Playstation 1.
