He is just another humble guy who will always stand up for a team mate even if he breaks the rules, and yes his plays are sexy, he can put up numbers every game and he does it... Simple as that, who cares what media thinks of him. Honestly idc if he wins MVP or not, but when it comes to point centars he is the best

Jokic is a coach's dream player. He can do anything the coach wants him to do at an elite level. He can be the main facilitator while being the main scoring option. He can score in the post, as a roll man, as a pick and pop threat, high post, low post, isolation, you name it. He can make the people around him better and give them easier shots. He can outrebound an entire team by himself. If this man isn't MVP than the whole "MVP race" is just one big popularity contest.

The DISRESPECT is about the NBA REFS not giving him the same calls as other players in similar situations. At the ASG break Jokic is 49th in FTr (FTA per FGA) at 0.322 and that's currently 25th amongst Centers. The MVP Center has 24 Centers getting more favorable whistles than him. That's what we're pointing out. Embiid and Giannis, Jokic's current main competition for MVP are at 0.584 and 0.602. good for 3rd and 4th in the league in that stat lead by Gobert at 0.827. That means if Jokic was getting a FTr equal to Embiid, he'd have 237 MORE FTA than he does now. That would be approximately 191 more points for Jokic and the Nuggets which is 3.3 more points for both as well. That would be AT LEAST 2 more wins for the Nuggets and would put Jokic on par with the league leaders in PTS/G and would increase his efficiency numbers even more.

They take this fact as an argument against him that his team is low seed at 6th, but let's be honest, the Nuggets couldn't have gone higher than 4th to begin with tbh

Jokic as a big man, is about as offensively skilled and efficient as Hakeem Olaujowon, and I think he has a bigger and broader offensive skill set than Hakeem tbh. Jokic can do it all, and his defense has been very good this year. Jokic has every offensive skill; shooting, low-post moves, footwork, can drive, can dribble, and unbelievable passer. He is more skilled inch for inch than Kobe, Kobe was just skilled in scoring the ball. Joker can score and play make though with all his gifts. @@ronburgundy8941 How are they that different? The only thing you said was point center and listed his stats for some reason. If bird played today, then Joker is the closest player to him...
@DemonKing-oi4jd2 жыл бұрын
@@ronburgundy8941 Joker is like Larry Bird because they white is true 😂 They are both tall and relatively unathletic by NBA standards. They both are high iq players with a passing gift. Both are great rebounders. Both are lethal from any part of the court in scoring. Both are great 3 pt shooters. Bird was the founder of the 50/40/90 club. Both players make their teams better (Bird raised his teams wins around 40 games as a rookie). Both can dominate the game without taking a lot of shots. They are pretty close in talent and skill set.

Feels like to me that Jokic learnt that old school freedom loving no I in team good ole" fundamentals b-ball back from the early 80s when the wall came down and every country wanted to be like America. Feels to me that whoever Jokic learnt basketball from in Serbia was student of that kinda good ole" fundamentals back when being a American you strive to be the best and earn that respect. I could be wrong but you feel that kinda of no I in team basketball. That's why you already hear the globetrotters theme playing when you see Jokic spreading that love around bringing average players to new heights with that old school shit that makes you wanna cry because Jokic is that fucking good at the old discipline that made American basketball truly something that was to be imitated all around the world. Just Amazing!!! Good get"em Jokic.

It's called racism. The Greek... The Joker... Luca Magic... All historically unique, all un respected by judges and media. European mentality: Epic efficiency, originality and no celebrity bulshit.

Another problem for him is that the Triple Double doesn't mean as much as it used to thanks to rule changes (and Westbrick). In past eras the pace and copious post-backdowns made it next-to-impossible for players to ever get enough possessions to achieve a 40+ pt triple double, so seeing it happen every year now is not so amazing.

What rule changes?
@Al.j.Vasquez2 жыл бұрын
Jokic and Luca are under appreciated just because they're not the typical MVP candidate that's pretty athletic and dominant, their style of play is random like, unpredictable, their body movements are not from someone who has been on basketball his whole life, they add a bit of football footwork and creative mindset to the way they play Basketball, and that's catching people off guard every night.

Kinda like Larry bird?? Took him many years to get recognized too. It’s a racist thing, the brothers never want the white boys to get acknowledged until they so good you can’t deny them. Look at Dirk, one of the greatest ever and didn’t get his props until he won a chip and btw with not the strongest team but had one of the greatest playoff runs ever. Racism works both ways.

I've watched the Nuggets since the 70's and Jokic is by far the best Nugget Denver has ever had! He gives his/this team their greatest chance at reaching the Finals and winning it all! Oh and by the way at Nugget Nation we don't listen to people that have never picked up a basketball(Nick Wright)so in parting Nick Wright sit your a** down when it comes to speaking on our MVP!!!

Everybody was talking about Jokic 2 years ago when his talent started to show up big time. This led to him gaining the MVP last year fairly. This year he still plays amazingly but people get used to things easily. If he doesn't show he can carry the Nugets at least to the finals in the playoffs for a third time people will lose interest and will face even more disrespect than now. He is almost considered one of those regular season players who cannot make the difference when it matters and this is why you see people paying less attention to his performance this year. The story is similar to what Giannis had to face up to last year.

55 games into the season, the Nuggets have the same record as last season. And this season features two prominent players from last season missing. With both expected to return, Jokic & the Nuggets are poised to make some noise in the playoffs
