I think nobody understands jack shit about Jokić... Those numbers he is putting up is not for MVP he never wanted it in a first place not last year not this year, its for his team. He is just another humble guy who will always stand up for a team mate even if he breaks the rules, and yes his plays are sexy, he can put up numbers every game and he does it... Simple as that, who cares what media thinks of him. Honestly idc if he wins MVP or not, but when it comes to point centars he is the best

Jokic is a coach's dream player. He can do anything the coach wants him to do at an elite level. He can be the main facilitator while being the main scoring option. He can score in the post, as a roll man, as a pick and pop threat, high post, low post, isolation, you name it. He can make the people around him better and give them easier shots. He can outrebound an entire team by himself. If this man isn't MVP than the whole "MVP race" is just one big popularity contest.

He’s also the most genuinely humble, unselfish, team oriented and coachable superstar maybe ever. He only cares about winning and will do whatever the team needs him to do on a nightly basis. He also is the hardest working Nugget on the team. He has been lifting weights after EVERY GAME for 2-3 seasons now, never saying a word about it. Apparently at least half the team is in the weight room w him now. Nikola Jokic is the definition of the MVP.

The DISRESPECT is about the NBA REFS not giving him the same calls as other players in similar situations. At the ASG break Jokic is 49th in FTr (FTA per FGA) at 0.322 and that's currently 25th amongst Centers. The MVP Center has 24 Centers getting more favorable whistles than him. That's what we're pointing out. Embiid and Giannis, Jokic's current main competition for MVP are at 0.584 and 0.602. good for 3rd and 4th in the league in that stat lead by Gobert at 0.827. That means if Jokic was getting a FTr equal to Embiid, he'd have 237 MORE FTA than he does now. That would be approximately 191 more points for Jokic and the Nuggets which is 3.3 more points for both as well. That would be AT LEAST 2 more wins for the Nuggets and would put Jokic on par with the league leaders in PTS/G and would increase his efficiency numbers even more.

They are chasing an all-time great team in the Suns, arguably deeper GSW than in 2015, a bigger in size 1st seed in Utah from last year, a young Grizzlies team who is on a tear, and what might be the best performance in Luka we've seen so far The Nuggets really couldn't have gotten any higher than 4th tbh. They take this fact as an argument against him that his team is low seed at 6th, but let's be honest, the Nuggets couldn't have gone higher than 4th to begin with tbh

Thats the difference between his triple doubles and russ triple doubles. Because of jokic efficiency, he doesn't need to stat pad and his team wins. He still has the least time of possession and is doing this; he's not stat padding, he's just playing. Russ stat padded like crazy, and this didn't help the team. He was more concerned about looking good.This is the difference between athleticism and skill. Jokic is pure skill. Russ was athleticism with no fundamentals or skill. @@tooforwon241 No, just no. Kobe was skilled, but his skills were not efficient. Like Kobe could do every offensive move, but he took everything from MJ, while not really creating any new moves himself. He also tried to steal Hakeem's low-post footwork. Jokic as a big man, is about as offensively skilled and efficient as Hakeem Olaujowon, and I think he has a bigger and broader offensive skill set than Hakeem tbh. Jokic can do it all, and his defense has been very good this year. Jokic has every offensive skill; shooting, low-post moves, footwork, can drive, can dribble, and unbelievable passer. He is more skilled inch for inch than Kobe, Kobe was just skilled in scoring the ball. Joker can score and play make though with all his gifts. Now don't get confused and think that I think Joker is better than Kobe now, he still has ways to go to catch up to Kobe in terms of achievements. However, for his size, he possesses more skills than Kobe, and does them with better efficiency up to this point in his young career.

Jokic isn't the most skilled player ever - he is both the most skilled AND smartest BIGMAN ever. It's pretty obvious with the lack of coverage Giannis received post championship or the fact the Luka gets more coverage over his weight and pettiness rather than his actual great performances. Jokic leads his team in all 5 major stats (points, rebounds, assists, blocks, steals). There is no other player who does that. And Jokic is so selfless that he doesn't even care about anything except team's success, Great stats are unavoidable if you are just as good as Jokic.

The gravity that Nikola is pulling on the court is insane. I haven’t seen any thing like the pull he has on offense since like 2018 LeBron and he doesn’t have that freak athleticism Bron threatens but it’s something else he does drawing all those doubles and then can throw crazy ass passes over triple teams across the court. He is clearly the best player in the world right now and if you can’t see it you aren’t watching.

💯 Embiid is having a great season but he’s getting all the love cause he’s actually playing every game n not been injured. Years past he was out or resting but this year he’s actually showing his talents and playing every game. I just feel if you down 2-4 points with less than 1 minute to play who would u rather have? Jokic has so many more dimensions to his game than Embiid. Great argument, switch both of them right now in their respective teams(even Denver without Murray n Porter), who would win out?? Embiid is great and physical beast but Jokic overall is the greater player, plus more durable too

@@ronburgundy8941 Joker is like Larry Bird because they white is true 😂 They are both tall and relatively unathletic by NBA standards. They both are high iq players with a passing gift. Both are great rebounders. Both are lethal from any part of the court in scoring. Both are great 3 pt shooters. Bird was the founder of the 50/40/90 club. Both players make their teams better (Bird raised his teams wins around 40 games as a rookie). Both can dominate the game without taking a lot of shots. They are pretty close in talent and skill set.

Feels like to me that Jokic learnt that old school freedom loving no I in team good ole" fundamentals b-ball back from the early 80s when the wall came down and every country wanted to be like America. Feels to me that whoever Jokic learnt basketball from in Serbia was student of that kinda good ole" fundamentals back when being a American you strive to be the best and earn that respect. I could be wrong but you feel that kinda of no I in team basketball. That's why you already hear the globetrotters theme playing when you see Jokic spreading that love around bringing average players to new heights with that old school shit that makes you wanna cry because Jokic is that fucking good at the old discipline that made American basketball truly something that was to be imitated all around the world. Just Amazing!!! Good get"em Jokic.

Another problem for him is that the Triple Double doesn't mean as much as it used to thanks to rule changes (and Westbrick). In past eras the pace and copious post-backdowns made it next-to-impossible for players to ever get enough possessions to achieve a 40+ pt triple double, so seeing it happen every year now is not so amazing.

Jokic and Luca are under appreciated just because they're not the typical MVP candidate that's pretty athletic and dominant, their style of play is random like, unpredictable, their body movements are not from someone who has been on basketball his whole life, they add a bit of football footwork and creative mindset to the way they play Basketball, and that's catching people off guard every night.
@aussiemika1

Kinda like Larry bird?? Took him many years to get recognized too. It’s a racist thing, the brothers never want the white boys to get acknowledged until they so good you can’t deny them. Look at Dirk, one of the greatest ever and didn’t get his props until he won a chip and btw with not the strongest team but had one of the greatest playoff runs ever. Racism works both ways.

Everybody was talking about Jokic 2 years ago when his talent started to show up big time. This led to him gaining the MVP last year fairly. This year he still plays amazingly but people get used to things easily. If he doesn't show he can carry the Nugets at least to the finals in the playoffs for a third time people will lose interest and will face even more disrespect than now. He is almost considered one of those regular season players who cannot make the difference when it matters and this is why you see people paying less attention to his performance this year. The story is similar to what Giannis had to face up to last year.
