How Kemba Walker Went From All Star Starter To Waived In 2 Years

Kemba Walker has had an illustrious career. However, he recently got waived by the Detroit Pistons after reports surfaced that he would take time away from the team during training camp. Walker had been a 4-time All-Star, including which was an All-Star Starter appearance as part of the Boston Celtics in 2020. But unfortunately, luck would not be on Kemba's side as he would deal with numerous injuries & a degenerative knee that made him much less of the player he was at his peak.

I don't think he's washed at all. I think the Celtics was a terrible fit and the Knicks did not need another ball handler. Him being injured also contributed heavily to this. Also he might've raised the floor for Detriot who is competing for the Victor sweepstakes

Ujiri also should be criticized for how he handled the DeRozan trade. It's one of those trades that worked out but at the time DeRozan was done dirty by Masai. Stevens did this as his first move as GM after talking lavishly as a coach about Walker's play & how they'll be patient with him. That rubs me the wrong way to be quite honest

I think it's whack to say Brad Stevens only got his job because he's white. He has made Boston's roster immensely better in the past two years and he was a very good coach for the vast majority of his time there.
