This is Adam's magnum opus. And the 7 in the title it because so many of their songs on this album is in a 7 time. Thanks for the reaction, again!

Sohum; you nailed it buddy. One of the most freeing things you can do is admit that you’re wrong, and be ok with not knowing everything. Noice.

You should check out Puscifer (one of maynards side projects). Substantially different vibes but amazing none the less. I recommend The Arsonist official video. The theme kind of fits the same theme as 7empest in my opinion.

Dude love your TOOL reactions. A few more you def need to check out: Aenima (will be interested to hear your take on this) Sober - Live (very different from studio) Pneuma Drum Cam - Danny Carey is a monster The Grudge Eulogy (all of the Aenima album really)

It’s not just you - after listening for 20+ years, I’ll still hear new things each listen. Embrace the journey haha. 🌀

Dude, I've been watching your Tool reactions (and a few others), and you are so articulate and intelligent in your words. I LOVE THAT. I appreciate your measured demeanor, bc it gives excellent contrast to those moments that all Tool fans love - those "Whoa" moments. And never EVER worry or apologize for going back to listen to a section a second or even third time. The Tool Army is here for that! We've listened to these songs hundreds, even thousands of times (I've been a Tool fan since 1994, and bought AEnima at Best Buy the day it dropped in 1996). And if I know one thing, it is that we LOVE watching new Tool fans be born through these reaction videos. Your analogy of Justice v Social Justice as viewpoints, as a way to talk about polyrhythms and how they conflict at times, but align beautifully in other times was sublime. I cannot wait for the rest of the Tool Army to discover your channel! When that happens, get ready for a spike in your subs. PLEASE keep spiraling out and giving us this intellectual, yet digestible library of reactions. Peace to you, brother!

To me this whole song is a heated diatribe against corrupt politicians and their minions. Most are malignant narcissists and they thrive on creating havoc in order to wield control, it’s in their very nature-‘a tempest must be just that!’

10:02 this is me but when I hear a delay effect which is also being used in this solo. Makes it feel so spacious and open like your in a holo steel room or out in the cosmos

"...dubious state of serenity." Doesn't it seem like Maynard is Screaming at the lost? I guess an ego as a hiding place is trying for others, right? -I'm glad you enjoy Tool, Sohum. Best wishes.

Didn't pick up Maynard was telling us specifically what was going on-Calm before the torrent comes. Calm as cookies and cream was 🙂 In Ænima he fires off a few one liners. Then there's Rosetta Stoned... 🤩
