That is so true, Tool literally pushed me through the hardest time in my life, and being a musician already made this experience so meaningful. Took my mind off stuff and created a "safe heaven" in my mind. Been an absolute Tool maniac ever since, can't wait for the new album :D

7empest is a whole other level for Tool and that is saying something, this song and this album is like they spent many years composing, crafting and recording demos over and over until they got it exactly the way they wanted, 13 years from 10,000 Days, rather than just going into the studio and banging another album out, they had already worked so hard to get to this point in their career they afforded themselves the time to make a perfect album in their own sweet time.

They're called Tool for a reason. You use a tool to fix something. Tool have fixed me so many times over the years, I wonder if they're my faith. I'm not a religious person, although I respect everyones freedom to be religious if they want to be, but I welcome the comfort that Tools message gives me. I wish more people opened their heart and soul to Tool, society would be happier I think. 🙂 Great reaction, glad you’re on the journey with us. 🌀

Adam really stretched out on the FI album This song and Descending really put his guitar playing in the spotlight. Danny, Justin and Adam write the music first and Maynard usually doesn't even start writing the lyrics until the band gives him a finished song. The guitar "solo" section from Descending was more planned and mapped out as apposed to Adam's part in the middle section on 7empest. I listened to an interview that Danny said when Maynard wrote his vocal part for 7empest he didn't put any vocals in that section and Adam had to add a guitar solo for that section faster and more spontaneously than he usually does. Danny said that Adam is very meticulous and he was proud of Adam for letting go and coming up with his solo more off the cuff than his usually method of being more of perfectionist.

My good man, please get yourself a decent pair of headphones, it will TOTALLY transform your experience! You are missing out on so many nuances those ear buds simply can't replicate. You don't have to spend a lot of money to get a decent pair either. Great reaction my friend, keep it up!
