Good afternoon...you say you are retired...by any chance did you ever make or work on a "Hoosier cabinet" or a roll top desk? If so, do you have any suggestions on the creation please? I managed to get my hands on some hardwood that is 100+ years old! I'll practice on cheap stuff first but I can't think of a better project to use antique wood for than antique style furniture!

No other word needed other than Perfection. So nice to watch a true craftsman on KZbin without begging for subscribers and likes, sponsors and Chinese tool reviews. Loved the close up images, just the sound of sharp quality tools with a hint of music, could watch this all day long. Can’t beat a hand cut dovetail coming together. Loved the chill out zen moment…. Think I can smell wood and incense. 🤔 Brilliant work Sir. 👍🏼

Under the file of “Now you know!” is this awesome idea of pewter, and all that you have added here about it. Brilliant! I have done two urns now. One was just laser etched on the “plates” on the sides and top. Turned out beautiful. I know you don’t want to do jigs but I did this first one with box joints. Second one was a v carve top, loved the way it carved. This one was done with 45 mitres for the top. Good luck and look forward to part 2!

I like the way you appear to be only pushing the planes enough to move them forward but you are not exerting much downward force allowing the weight of the plane to suffice. This means “ Body English” errors are reduced.
