This song will forever and always be dedicated to my Dad. After an accident in his 20s, his spine was left messed up. He's been at least using a cane most of his life, sometimes a wheelchair. But he always kept pressing forward. He was recently in a car accident, where he had his arm amputated. Nonetheless, he continued doing his handyman work, such as installing drywall. On the ceiling. With one arm. By himself. He passed in 2020. I made a trip to Texas with my brother to visit him just months before. He knew he was going. We had to see him one last time. But although I had already connected this song with him at that time, I really wish I had made him listen to it. I'm sure he'd be proud that his son listens to such fine music. Rest in peace, Dad.

Wow. Adam hesitated near the beginning, Danny missed a beat with one hand early on and got right back into the groove. And it looked like Justin lost the count at one point, but immediately got back into the groove. I don't think that I've ever seen a song performed where they _each_ make a mistake. But it's insane that they can recover so quickly in such a rhythmically complex song.

Son sencillamente descomunales. Te agarran desde dentro y parece que es lo que siempre has querido escuchar y saber. Los conocí en el 2002 y no hay otra banda que me despierte las emociones que ellos despiertan en mi ser.

Discovered these artists at 65yrs young.... Literally had that "wtf did I just hear ?" moment that I'd experienced only twice before hearing Led Zeppelin & Pearl Jam for the first time... truly magnificent band 🎩👌

I know it's a metaphor, but as a middle aged man who has been doing medieval combat for the last 25 years the line: Weapon out and belly in, warrior, struggling to remain consequential Hits just a bit too close to home...

As an old school musician and maybe others here that are old school , I LOVE seeing they are using guitar cords and not wireless units , TRUE tone there and they are the MASTERS of tone . #Toolfuckingrules , what a band !

Last time I saw Tool someone was recording them with their phone and Maynard pointed them out and said "A camera doesn't have a memory. You are HERE and your camera isn't." I was on molly and that made me want to cry for some reason lol It was like we were a tribe or something. Tool is to be experienced

It's crazy for me to think about that tool just released some of their best music 30 years after their first album. And I got to see them three days ago in Birmingham Alabama with my 17 year old metal head son. It was a great experience.

Best band on the planet-period!!! Saw them first in 1993 as they (watch out, here it comes) supported a band named fishbone in Hamburg. So, you can say, I'm a fan from the start. TOOL is one of the really few bands who get better with age, and, despite they changed they follow their path strictly and without compromises, I admire that very much. I hope 2022 is not the last time I've had the pleasure seeing them live...

Kinda crazy seeing Adam playing a Flying V. I've seen them play numerous times and been a fan since Aenima came out, but I have never once seen him playing something other than his Silverburst. Thanks for the upload!

Mine, too. I’m 57 years old and have recently been reflecting on the bands that have not just provided enjoyment, but have been pivotal in my perception and understanding. Tool is at the top of a very short list. Their ability to evoke emotion, at least within myself, is unparalleled. I wish I could convey to them my immense gratitude for their hard work and creativity. I seriously doubt another band will ever be able to match their giftedness, massive, raw power and authority.

This song was leaked online from live shows before fear inoculum was released...I used to listen to it so much that I actually hate the studio cut and scour the web for versions of it live...one of their best songs live no matter where I've seen it played...
@chickenclips2 жыл бұрын
agreed, what it grows into is simply amazing. It's in my top 3 easily of Tool
@underhour2772 жыл бұрын
Same here.. i agree the studio version doesn't have the magic of the live version, which blew me away when hearing it before the album release. The recorded version is almost too clinical. Be great if they record it live with a full mix including crowd ambience ala Salival
@mailliw86472 жыл бұрын
Yeah the voice distortion effect in the studio cut isnt nearly as good as his raw vocal live...it's an unnecessary effect...the power in the song is its lyrics ...it's so relatable and relevant to life...the first time I heard it it reminded me of how sad it is to see a great UFC fighter or boxer that is struggling through fights that is way past their prime...great warriors that time has worn down but all they know is the art of the fight so they struggle to maintain the glory of their legacy...

So last 30+ years so much good hard rock but Tool literally sets the bar. Invincible might be their most perfect song. Lucky enough to have seen them 5 times. Even as they all creep towards 60 they are at their peak. Hope at least 1 more masterful album and tour!

Been a fan since their first album. Saw Tool 6 times live twice front row. Never saw a band that was better Live than recorded until Tool. Anything Maynard takes part in is usually great. Took awhile for Puscifer to grow on me, but A Perfect Circle doesn't have one song that I disliked. 48 now, and a lot of stuff I was into when was young I don't listen to much anymore except Tool (Might because a lot of the lead singers are dead or the bands broke up also, come to think of it ) It doesn't matter if he never gets into the hall of Fame. I think he would prefer not to be associated with half the no talent hacks that are in there anyway. His fan base is an odd lot, but that is another great thing about them. I watched Adam play at one concert because Maynard never came out of the shadows and black lights at the back of the stage. Adam never opened his eyes except for a guitar switch or a drink of water. These guys are beyond talented.

JUSTIN is incredible on this, as are the others.. I just love his expressions back and forth between he and Danny. Maynard did an awesome job on Vocals. Pity though that the mixing on his mic is nearly non-existent. I put it through Presonus and lifted it . I may repost it. Whoever posted this, WELL DONE, SIR!!! And Justin does a fantastic solo in the middle. Amazing, and what an outstanding performance! I never liked TOOL until my son introduced me to them, and I'm 78 years old!
