Lyrics:
What was it like to see
The face of your own stability
Suddenly look away
Leaving you with the dead and hopeless?
Eleven and she was gone
Eleven is when we waved good-bye
Eleven is standing still (waiting for me)
Waiting for me to free him
By coming home
Moving me with a sound
Opening me within a gesture
Drawing me down and in (showing me where it all began)
Showing me where it all began
Eleven
He was too scarred to realize
You were the voice that's been calling me back home
Under a dead Ohio sky
Eleven has been and will be waiting
Defending his light and wondering
Where the hell have I been?
Sleeping, lost and numb, I'm
So glad that I have found you
I am wide awake and heading home
I wish that I could see you
Turn and run to play
Dreams are fading
Carry my ancient soul, carry me into the light
Aim your body heavenly
Enduring a memory
I'll come to your light
Hold your light
Hold your light where I can see it
High
Hold your light, eleven
Lead me through each gentle step by step
By inch by loaded memory
I'll move to heal
As soon as pain allows so we can
Reunite and both move on together
Hold your light, eleven
Lead me through each gentle step by step
By inch by loaded memory until
One and one are one, eleven
So glow, child, glow
I'm heading back home

@@galacticsnake8982 I remember seeing Fourty Six&2 in my recommendations for almost a year and then clicked on it... Now one of my life goals is to see Tool live at least once. At the time I finished reading Psychological Types, Aion and The Redbook by Carl Jung and that song seemed to be aboutThe Jungian Shadow, Individuation and modern man's lost chromosomal expression that only aboriginal tribes in Australia do not possess.

This 4/11 Harry tells us she was gone when he woke up .She used to walk the streets alot to get away from him but she always came back and we waited 6 weeks for her to come home just to find out in the end that he buried her body that same day "Sleeping, lost, and numb So glad that I have found you I am wide awake and heading home" ........He played his act on everyone until the guy that helped him confessed .11 and she was gone 😔 You are the voice that's been calling me back home.........I will forever wait for you Tiffany I love you so fucking much you deserve peace and I'm so sorry for all of the men in your life that has hurt you my sorrowful angel please show me that you are healed in some way or form. Still has become maybe my favorite Tool song. A lot of people talk about the Wings and little else when mentioning a moving Tool song, but Jimmy never comes up. The part that starts from "Hold your light..." never fails to make me shiver and sometimes shed a tear. Purely haunting.

God I love this song. Pain ,Trauma , regret , guilt, though not good feelings or memory's can create through those Tortuous times the most beautiful art and songs and profound lyric's that are held in awe by the viewer or listener and yet the pain that created these masterpieces finds a way to slowly destroy the creator and what we're left with is a moment that they were free from that pain, and what we feel , like when we listen to this song is a true thing of beauty.
