That yellow Multi Material disc has direction arrows on it for good reason mate. Check the five segment cut outs around the rim…they are profiled. The slope side of each cut out should lead the cut because the more steep aggressive edge could catch on a steel sheet and make the tool kick back. The slope side of the cut out will not be grabby.

I tried forward and reverse for the cuts on the rebar by far the reverse was so smooth forward tend to climb not because of the disc selection. If someone gets this tool experiment with some scrap . Curios how did you find the tool cutting with steel ?
@contessa.adellaАй бұрын
Disc selection: The yellow multi disc, will of course cut thick steel, but the bonded resin fibre cut off disc will be faster and cheaper to replace. Keep the yellow disc for plastic, sheet wood, pavers, thin sheet steel and light general use. The supplied continuous rim diamond disc is best used for decorative tiles because it reduces chipping. 😊

The thickest I cut was cast iron pipe did the job . For a paver I think your pushing your luck with this tool I just finished cutting some pavers and used a skill saw with a diamond blade small passes at a time . If you new to this tool like me try different blades and see what cuts the best .

I don’t think you are supposed to keep the guard on the tool unless you are cutting drywall? Does it hurt to keep it on all of the time?
@kdcustomwoodworking2 ай бұрын
You should not use this tool for drywall .No it does not hurt tool is super smooth . The guard is safety leave on always period .

@@HickLif3 Keep it simple. It would be brutal to cut drywall , and the dust would be unreal when all you need is a knife faster and cleaner A rotary zip for plugs and holes a lot of drywall guys use . I will except the challenge of making a video cutting drywall outside of course and you be the judge I think the question was asked by a bot

Absolutely ridiculous milwaukee only makes one in 12V. Prob some business derp decision to want to sell both types instead of maybe getting it done with one. Anyway, woeful choice - also dewalt one is way better built from a teardown AVE did - he has great channel btw. Top work - subbed sir

Its true 12 v Milwaukee makes it a pain because you need 2 different batteries because most lilkey you have the bigger battery for the other tools, Dewalt you can even use the Flex volt battiers one battery for all Dewalt tools simple .Thanks for the kind words and welcome to the KD Woodworking family

I’m literally about to switch to DEWALT because Milwaukee don’t do an m18 version

@@walkaz Not to throw shade at Milwaukee but Dewalt making it so easy to keep the same battery . But tool envy is a addiction to be treated by building coolest thing with a new tool .

Dremel was the first to come out with their cutoff tool and is compatible with dewalts but dewalts is still more powerful and better ergonomicaly

It is not a TEN…it is a Nine point five….IF it had variable speed on the trigger it would be a TEN. It IS a very useful tool…it can’t cut as deep as a grinder, or grind like a grinder or take wire brushes like grinder, but it excels as a quick grab solution where a grinder is too heavy, unwieldy or bulky…I have one to compliment my grinder and keep it to hand for those quick cuts.
