This is my all time favorite Tool song. Thank you so much for the recording, they didn’t perform this in Chicago and I was so sad!

My favorite also. They didn’t play it in Cleveland. I’m grateful there’s plenty of versions of “The Patient” to be enjoyed. Who couldn’t love Tool?

I love this song so much!!! I feel that! We didn't get this in Moline either. But we got right in two in Moline (with no visuals!!! They weren't working during that song) and Chicago got undertow. Pretty sweet still.

Holy shit, Maynard nailed that ending perfectly. I am blown away by how much our technology has increased since 2006, when you could BARELY hear him over the instruments as we all tried to record them with our flip phones or smuggled in camcorders. I still remember the garbage audio clips we have from like 1994, but man, how you managed to get such great audio and video, and not get caught, you're a hero.

I can't imagine how exciting it would be to hear the opening bars of this song live, particularly if it wasn't expected. Gives me chills watching it. I fucking love this song.

That's gotta be one the best live performances of this track on yt also. There's one other I can't recall the show details, but Danny gives a beautiful example of the hats and cymbals intro and then just continues to melt faces as only Danny can. This track is the epitome of Tool. Hard to beat for sure!

Spot on dude! Saw them when the wernt 500 a ticket in Harford CT. Back when moshing and slam dancing were a thing. First and only band I ever saw that everyone stopped moshing the first 5 minutes into the concert and actually listened. Best show ever!

This is the best Tool song. These words keep me contained and restrained, but for the best. I have a girlfriend, I have a dad, I have friends and I have a life. All of this perpetual, constant anxiety and knowing the right answer and exactly how to enact is eats and gnaws at me everyday. But I know that God watches over me and he tells me with every breath to not werewolf and to not take out my rage on those who deserve it. If you're a true Tool fan, you know exactly what I'm talking about. This song guides me to a higher power, and to lead my life with love, not fear. Instead of vanquishing foes and destroying evil, I live with purpose and dignity, and I show all those oppressors the life they could never dream of having. The fear is now inoculated in me, it gives me sight and gives me freedom. That's all I ever wanted, and at 23 I'm so lucky to have this hindsight so young in my life

@@autiger96 I was wondering that myself.....would I be able to stay completely still at a Tool experience?......not unless I was highly meditated & mushroomed. Even then, I have a hell of a time keeping still just listening to them live like this.

Haha ya, It’s impossible to keep your head still. Those videos are me actually kinda trying as well. There’s no stabilization built into the camera on those glasses either.
