I heard this two vids that I don’t remember exactly where I found them of H. and of one of Parabola I think that sounded really close. The H. vid was so good I thought he was lip syncing or something. Also, here’s a vid that I think has more accurate vocals for The Grudge imo. The weird screeching feedback that Adam does during the solo sounds so fucking epic! I imagine it must be some kind of pick scrape but it sounds incredible and really adds to the build up before the scream. Tool are fucking awesome and cannot wait to see them again

the screeching feedback thing that you're talking about is actually him scraping the guitar pick along the low strings. the low strings of all guitars all have a smaller string tightly wound up them going up and down that the three high strings of a guitar don't have. he's good friends with tom morello, and rage have a song where tom morello is just scraping the pick up and down the low string the entire time called people of the sun. when adam does a pick scrape, he always does it really hard.

The audio is fantastic. I also have a hard time understanding how still Tool fans and audience members can be during these performances; maybe they're taking it all in perhaps. My vocal chords were shot afterwards and my neck was sore for 4 days lol

The only reason they aren’t moving much is because they’re assigned seats and aren’t allowed to dance in the pathways. Went to a show in 2001 and they didn’t assign seats on the floor. Was amazing. Could choose where you wanted to go if you had a floor ticket. Those are days of the past though.

Oh my f%ckin' god. That was epic! The audio quality through headphones is amazing. I really hope these guys come back to Oz one more time. They are absolutely nailing it during this tour. It's like a greatest hits tour, with the highlights of Fear Inoculum plus the greats everyone wants to hear (minus Lateralus and Vicarious, but a set can't go on forever).
