Long tour video of most of the stuff that we have to build and remodel houses. We’re getting ready to jump into a big remodel on the trailer and kick it up a notch. I’ve been doing Instagram stories about the stuff I’m building for the trailer as I build. Check it out @barrycontractingllc.

Excelent video, just enough information without going to indepth. I love your custom battery storage rack. I've got Rons plans. I'm a DIYer and I'm planning on doing out my 8' x 12' based on this. Thanks for giving me some additional inspiration.

Calling everything a crap collector isn’t the space.. it’s that you need a garbage can in there. Which is actually a good idea.

7:00 You keep saying your drawers turn into shit collectors, but if you get rid of them where do you intend to keep all the things that are in them? It's got to go somewhere. Maybe make them less deep and introduce some dividers. I've found that if shit starts collecting in an unorganized way it is usually me being lazy and not putting things back where they should go and in an organized manner. Just curious what your solution will be. Also, I think the higher price paid for baltic birch plywood is way worth it.
@TheRealBeardedBuilder
@TheRealBeardedBuilder 4 жыл бұрын
SuburbanHobbyist that’s exactly what I did. I took the depth out of that side of the trailer. This made life much easier. I also spent a while going through my small scrap plywood and making lots of dividers in the drawers on the “driver” side of the trailer. The dividers worked so well that I actually completely removed one of the tool cubbies above the drawers. I’ll have a trailer video coming in the very near future talking about a lot of the “fixes” that I made to the original build. Thanks for watching!

@sawdustadikt979 3 жыл бұрын
Ha! I got a scout. 16x8.5 wide. I’m digging your remodel on it! I got a walk through on it here on KZbin. I’m filming a 8 year ownership review on it right now. I ordered mine full custom, as durable as possible. I have to order a new one. A tree fell on it. It will all be on the review, hope it comes out good. I drew up plans to remodel it but that tree put me in a whole other opportunity. Is the video making helping your biz? Thanks for replying and your content.
@TheRealBeardedBuilder
@TheRealBeardedBuilder 3 жыл бұрын
@@sawdustadikt979 idk if I’d call it helping my business but I’m finally in the KZbin partner program so I can monetize and make a little extra money. I’m hoping to buy a little bigger bravo in the next year or so. I’m really thinking 8.5x18 or 8.5x20.
@sawdustadikt979

Me to on the trailer size, possibly an extra 6in taller to. Dunno about getting a ladder rack from them again, maybe something fabricated instead. As for the biz growth, thanks for the honesty. I get mixed feedback from the little feedback I get. Also, your propane furnace idea is lit 😆 as if there was ever a better time to say that phase! At least I thought it was you I saw that did that. I’m totally doing that on the next rig. No more throwing out stuff for me. Your crushin it, keep it up! Have a profitable week!

Canadianguy91 this set up was 110 ac. When the trailer was plugged into a wall receptacle it would power the lights. The new set up is all 12 volt. No need to have the trailer on shore power. Videos about the electrical setup are coming in the near future.

Why have every single little scredriver orginized instead of having just a bag with all your screw drivers and also why not make bags with tools for specific jobs like framing, drywall etc ? Must be a pain in the ass having to go back to the trailer everytime you need something.
@TheRealBeardedBuilder
@TheRealBeardedBuilder 4 жыл бұрын
Christian_builds the biggest reason for me is to see what’s missing. I think it all depends on your work flow too. I have a bag/tote that I load up with what I need based on the task at hand. I also have an occidental rig so when I’m framing I’ll load my pouches with framing related tools. If you like the bag idea I’d just build the typical “contractor trailer built out of 2x4s or 2x6s and whatever scrap plywood I have laying around” and load the shelves up with your bags for each task. I’ve been working out of this trailer since 2017 and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I take time in the morning to set up for whatever task we are doing and that’s it. Maybe a run or two back to the trailer for something unexpected but it’s not 100 trips a day.

@@TheRealBeardedBuilder i see your point.. thanks for the answer sorry if i sounded rude, it was not my intention.... im building mine at the moment but i just dont know if building something like that woul be worth it with my way of working .. well thanks and keep up the good work..
@TheRealBeardedBuilder
@TheRealBeardedBuilder 4 жыл бұрын
Christian_builds everyone has a system. I know guys who swear by vans but I could never see myself working out of one. I used to work out of my pick up bed and I could never see myself going back to that. For me I have multiple employees working out of this trailer. The main reason I take the time to “over organize” if you will, is because things go missing. It’s not necessarily that they are taking the tools. But things can get left behind when we hit a few small jobs in one day. That’s where the over organization comes into play for me. When we leave I can do a quick once over in the trailer and see exactly what is and isn’t loaded. If I was a one man show with no intentions on hiring other employees I may have used a much more simple setup. At the end of the day as long as we can get our tools to and from that’s all that matters! I also apologize if I came off a bit snippy. I was having one of those days and took your comment wrong! Good luck with the build! I’d love to see it when you’re finished! Cheers
