god damn. listening to the interview makes me realize how old these guys are. they're all in there 50's now. they're old men now, I think they should let there legend speak for itself. They performed some of the greatest live performances of our time (in the 90's) and in my opinion will go down in history as one of, if not the most creative and talented rock group of our time. And Danny Carey, is without any question in my opinion the greatest drummer of all time, hands down.

They don't hate their fans. Maynard has been known to say that a person should "appreciate the art not the artist." The only way they are able to produce their art and share it with us is by NOT being influenced by us (fans, radio, award ceremonies, etc.). They remain true to their art by doing it their way. It wouldn't be genuine any other way.

basically with these guys it's "go see our live show or you're fucked", and by all accounts it continues to be one hell of a show but that's it. unless i missed something they haven't actually released anything that you can pay for and keep since the vicarious DVD and that came out like seven years ago. since then: NOTHING. just release something that i can buy and i'll gladly pay for it. anything. i say that with love.
