Installing ReShade In Dolphin 5.0 | Tutorial | HD Dolphin

Could you please tell me how to set up depth buffer, it just shows me a black screen when I test it

Depth buffer is a mixed bag. Some games it works and others not so much. Turn off antialiasing in Dolphin and check OpenGL as well as DX9/11/12 since I often am unable to get the depth buffer working for Vulkan. That's about it, in one of the tabs, there's an alternative setting for depth that works for a few weird games, but nothing else. I believe it's in the statistics/diagnostics page. You'll have to mess with settings on your own and see what works and what doesn't.

Unfortunately, with how Dolphin works, it does happen for every game. However, you *can* setup a toggle key for the effects and create multiple presets for multiple games.

@@TooLateNate uhh, what I meant was anything outside of dolphin. like for example csgo, if I don't install the reshade on that, the reshade won't run when I play csgo right?

I do believe ReShade support Vulkan currently and it works about the same, simply select Vulkan instead of DX9/11/OpenGL

I know this is a wierd request but could you demonstrate this with the game "Sonic Colors" It is a wii game so you will have to use dolphin but its my favorite game

A_ndromed_A I just find Reshade easier to use without having to know anything about GLSL or proper configurations. The everyday person just wants something to set and forget with as easy as possible to set up. Not fiddle with or learn a new system.

Dolphin has simple shaders but Reshade can access the Depth Buffer which allows things like RTGI.

Im playing on a laptop and Open GL sadly is glitchy and I dont have Direct x10 only 11 and 12

Chriss RE Direct X 12.+11 are backwards compatible with 10, yeah some chipsets are not friendly with opengl.

I downloaded Ishiruka. Unofficial Dolphin build with postprocessing build in to the App. Runs great with all the effects like Bloom, DOF, Motion Blur, Big choice Color Correction tools.

when I click shift-f2 it creates a save state so I cant open the reshade menu.

@@lifeflowercrossing456 yes I did, basically reshade is not installed because of your rendering engine well it is. Also use home button to open the reshade menu HOW TO FIX: First of all what did you install reshade on? Vulkan, opengl, direct 9 or 11? Depending on what you install you will change that in dolphin. Go to graphics- rendering engine and change it. Also if you installed vulkan. Then check how you use vulkan on reshade. if you need furthur help ask me.

What are you settings for Wind Waker to make it look like Wind Waker HD?

DIO I don't have any settings currently for wind walker that I know of. I'd recommend experimenting with the different shaders available until you get a look that you enjoy. If you're using Ishiiruka's branch of Dolphin, I've no clue, just use the shaders that are built-in, this is only for base dolphin.

Shift+F2 isn't making the ReShade menu show up for me in game. it only creates a save state for dolphin
