Thank you for a very thorough review on the Tooli-Art pens. I went through it twice, but don't remember hearing whether or not they are available open stock. One person commented "that he learned the hard way that the pens should be stored in an upright position instead of horizontally" as suggested. I don't know if he meant the Tooli-Art or the Pascas. I don't know anything about paint pens, but it seemed to me that they should be stored the way you said to keep the nebs from drying out like we do our with our alcohol and waterbased markers. I just wanted to be sure.

I watched your video on the essential set and then today this one. The colors are beautiful and I’m really tempted. The problem is I’ve never used them in my coloring books and can’t quite think how one would use them. Could you possibly color a page showing how you use them in your coloring books? Thank you.

Many use them to hide the black outlines. Esp on areas next to your highlighted areas. You can do this with a white posco and try to colour over the white so it's not so stark. But easier to use the pastel tooli colours.

I have this pastel set from Tooli-art and also have all those colours from the Posca set - although I bought them individually.😅 Love them all.

are you able to do a video using these pens on a colouring page, aside white for highlights, what do you use them for?

Beautiful paint colors!! 🎨 Are the nibs hard or soft? Some paint pen brands have hard nibs that eat through paper that is damp from the paint. (Still novice level here...) 🤦♀️ The Posca purple looks more true, although it might need some white added. The Tooli-art seemed to be more heathered or gray? Neither had an abundance of purples. There are coloring books without leaves, but you definitely gravitate towards landscapes at this point. You used to do a lot of face and skin pages. I know you know this without a doubt! 🥰 It really depends on what art you are drawn to.

Has anyone had the Tooli pastel set for a long time -- long enough to say how long they last without the nibs drying out? I have had bad luck with other brands of pastel acrylic markers where colors with white in them dry out way faster than darker "cleaner" colors. If a Tooli pastel marker sat, say a month, without being used, would it be dry and hard when I got back to it? Anyone know? Thanks!!!

You'll get replacement nibs . If they dry out you can take the nib out rinse with water and replace. It's that simple. But when you take the nib out make sure it's upright until you replace the nib or the paint will spill out...ask me how I know 😂

@@gwenscoggins1 I didn't get replacement nibs with my brand. But I did try soaking the nibs -- for days, both in hot water, soapy water, alcohol, and even fountain pen cleaner! Nothing worked. Those babies were clogged and DRY! Glad to hear Tooli has replacement nibs; that's a big plus in my book. (And yes, I'm well aware of keeping the pen body upright. Sounds like you and I both learned the hard way! LOL) Thanks for responding !!! :)
