I bought one of these a few weeks ago and it has turned out to be the most used outdoor tool I own. The best feature is that it is light and easy to move around versus my Whisper series 650 cfm monster. I am really glad i bought this.

Bought one of these when researching using leaf blowers for drying cars after a wash. Didn't buy it so much for drying the cars, however, I bought it specifically for drying my motorcycle. Anyone who owns a bike will know the pain of trying to get the water off every little nook and cranny that exists. It may still not be the most perfect solution, but it cuts your drying time by a lot and you don't have to keep wringing out towels and getting them stuck on parts of the bike.
@charlestaylor31958 ай бұрын
That is sweet. You can take it and use it anywhere. Efficiency; smaller package, smaller carbon footprint, plenty of power. Now all I need is one of those free tool deals and I'm set. Until tomorrow, when you go waving another new tool in my face that I gotta have. How much was that by the way?

I also bought this blower mainly for the form factor. Very impressive for its size and I don't always have to break out the Ryobi big boy 40v 730 cfm blower. I mainly use it to dry my car which takes a little longer than the 40v but but worth it b/c it's much easier on the hands.

@@Redspeciality Oh yeah he used it in the video, and in the studio recording, and I think in the live shows. It’s an old Makita because it was 1990-something. I thought at first he was using it on the strings but I think now the guitar/amp just picked up the RF waves from the drill motor. The story goes that there was a worker nearby using a drill and it got picked up, and Eddie liked the effect. I’ll have to go back and listen for the toilet bowl on Panama, didn’t know about that 😀

I have a desktop PC that I take outside to blow the dust out of every 6 months or so. I typically use those cans of compressed air that get really cold if you turn them upside down but they kinda suck I think this would be much better. Stronger airflow and would last more than long enough. For actual leaf blowing I have a corded Ryobi that's probably 20 years old. So at $99 for the bare tool it's maybe a little much for my needs but maybe it'll go on sale during Ryobi Days or find i's way to Direct Tools.

I honestly don’t see the advantage of this over the smaller “leaf blowers” that everyone seems to offer, other than a different hand position? Those also have ability to shorten or change nozzle for different needs and are small and lightweight. And don’t get me wrong, I am in the Ryobi line just for the unique stuff that they offer. Otherwise I’m mostly into dewalt and Milwaukee mostly.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY! Yes this is a great blower. But now after owning not 1 but 2 of these here are the cons. The propeller that makes this work is PLASTIC. I accidently got something sucked into the intake and instantly the propeller was destroyed rendering this tool useless. Ryobi is sending me a replacement propeller on warranty not sure I can replace it myself. I did buy a 2nd one and fabricated a screen (not pretty but it works) to go over the intake so that won't happen again. Ryobi should have thought of this, as all their new blowers have rear intakes which I hate or they should have a metal propeller. It is very loud (my opinion louder than my other 2 Ryobi 18V blowers). And the final issue, this eats thru batteries, I use a 6MAH battery and average 15-20 minutes. So if you are just clearing a walkway of leaves no issue. I really want to like this blower and I won't say don't buy it but now you know my opinion. BTW Clint great reviews, I love your channel. Thanks for all the reviews.
@ToolReviewZone2 ай бұрын
It's a blower, so of course it will use batteries up fast. Secondly, the propeller issue is user error. That's like saying are ran my car into the wall but the paint didn't hold up
