Including the impact driver was a great idea. When driving things the smaller the fastener, the more IPM will finish the job quicker. The larger in thread size , the more peak torque will finish the job quicker. But there's always a middle ground where different tools overlap

@@georgedavall9449 why I be like that?.?.?... well I be like that because his tests are the defacto yard sticks of beanery and I want to know if my milwaukee 1" d handle or my hf 1" d handle is the king o' bean.

definitely an improvement :) a bit ironic that you released a milwaukee HT review on the same day TTC released a makita HT review :D

I own the Milwaukee 2967 and it is just a beast. It's so powerful that I am a little afraid to use it to tighten bolts because I might over-torque them. It's just a monster by any definition. In bolt tightening mode, it's supposed to stop at 50 ft-lbs of torque, but I have found it to be closer to 75 ft-lbs. That's the minimum force that this can apply. Actually, the friction ring is the superior anvil. It will apply more force than a pin-detent ring. It's not even close.
@georgedavall94499 ай бұрын
TOOLS & STUFF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I believe riggers and scaffold builders prefer the Pin detent, mainly as a safety item, so large sockets wont be falling off and hitting someone or something below? The ring holder is added to that model so a rigger can secure it easier to their work belt. Fantastic content as always! Cheers!!!!!! Stay safe!

Just ordered that new model and a forge battery, I like the idea of the battery isolation. My original first gen hi torque after many many years (whenever it was released till now) of daily use and abuse in an automotive workshop has eaten away the ground pin pretty badly in the tool and now requires the battery to be held on most of the time for it to make contact with the battery. I have ordered a new part to fix it so now I will have 2 :)

I would guess that the reason only the pin detent model has the hanging hook is due to working at heights and needing to secure the tool you need the mount that also locks the socket on vs just friction. Certainly wouldn't want one of those impact wrenches falling on you.

About 10 years ago, I bought the older 2763 model here in the states purely because it was being heavily discounted. I would have preferred the XWT08Z, but Makita still hasn't dropped the price even after a decade!

I don’t like the height of the handle on the gen 3. It just sits differently and feels vertically huge. I don’t have small hands but man there is like 3/4” of grip left but apparently they had complaints about the 2767 grip being too short but not only that they relocated electronics to the handle but it just doesn’t feel as good in hand imho but the tri beam and power are top notch

@TorqueTestChannel XGT 3/4". Only bested by the socket-eating, Shakira hip-shaking DCF961. And the DCF961 needs >10s and a more powerful battery to achieve it. Any plans on testing the XGT 3/4" with 5Ah or 8Ah batteries?
