We did 3 exterior restorations this year and the same concrete company followed us around and did new stamped concrete for our customers. These guys were using nothing but Ridgid and Bosch and they don't baby their tools. I was so impressed that I bought a Ridgid table saw when my Dewalt took a crap.

I own Ridgid, a mix of Gen5x which was there top line like 4 years ago and Octane which was the top line for what just like 2 years? I assume this new Max line will be really great because the previous stuff was great. Some Ridgid tools can compete even with Milwaukee fuel. Glad to see they are not jacking prices up, I think $399 was standard before for their 4 tool kit and $499 for 5 tool. I have yet to see Max stuff in any stores though.

Last summer I moved into the RIDGID Sub Compact set from Ryobi for work, I do love them, although I may have one 'lazy battery' in that it charges fine, runs strong, but, seems to suck the fuel gauge down a little faster.

I own some Kobalt XTR stuff along with Ridgid, absolutely great, only issues is they need to build the line up out more and most other brands have far more sales than Kobalt, their "Buy more save more sale" rarely covers the good stuff.

@@williamw3501 I disagree. Kobalt lineup is pretty complete. Ridgid it seems keep reintroducing "new" drills and impacts instead of coming out with truly new products. I'm a plumber and kobalt makes everything I want and need. Kobalt is a Fantastic value and great product.

If Rigid simply upheld their lifetime service agreement in a timely turnaround time. Streamlined there process making the submission of repair or replacement easy / no hassle ,,,,,, including batteries now !!! Even if you did not have a huge line , concentrating on the basic everyone needs tools. They would take a huge sector of the market. Good , outstanding customer service hopefully will be there new policy ❤

The rigid Max output batteries use 18650 cells not the 21700 cells. only the six and eight hour max output batteries which are not out yet are supposedly going to have 21700 cells. The only other rigid battery with 21700 sales is the octane 3 amp hour

I've been a rigid guy for 17 years I still have 2 peace's of the original kit gen 1 however I just had to replace the hammer drill on my dime because rigid somehow said they have no records of my purchase funny thing is they have done repairs and replace of batteries in the past and now they say I never was in there records and I still have my records. I really wanted to jump ship however I had all rigid platform to costly to jump. I've always registered all of my tools through rigid if this happens again they will lose me forever. As far as the tools themselves they work Wonderful however there warranties suck. One very disappointed customer I hope rigid reads this 😤😠

In many tools yes you are correct but not all, go around YT there are tests on certain specific tools where even Milwaukee fuel gets beat by specific Ridgid or Kobalt XTR tools, for instance look at Ridgid Octane 1/2 inch 6 mode impact wrench and compare its numbers to Milwaukee fuel, unfortunately it along with everything Octane and Gen5x is being discontinued for the new Max line. VCG Construction on YT are Milwaukee fan boys but in testing by them some Kobalt XTR tolls performed slightly better as well.

They $ouldn’t (shouldn’t) make any 2.0 AH hour batteries it’s a waste of manufacturing time, & distribution. The lost to make them all 3 or 5 amp hours is minimal & the battery paks are still light.

I have Ridgid and like them. They are loud as fuk though. They also are larger and heavier and the impacts are weaker. And fuk that warranty that never seems to work. That's a joke. For the money it's great otherwise buy a better brand and get more for more money

Not sure about "nowhere near" but Milwaukee is definitely a step up. Milwaukee will always be a step up since TTI makes both. Milwaukee has to justify the slightly higher prices. Just like Ridgid will always be a step up from Ryobi which is the TTi's cheaper entry level.
