After reading some comments I decided to go back and retry some Toons again and it has me adjusting my placements. - Scraps D -> E (Above Rodger) I slightly overrated her survivability, and I now more so realize how little she does/provide. - Boxten E -> D (Below Poppy) I underrated the value of having his good extraction speeds while keeping solid survivability. - Glisten C -> B (Below Flutter) As many have pointed out, I underrated his overall extraction speeds. That extraction with his survivability definitely warranted a higher tier. - Gigi B -> C (Below Brightney) This was my original placement for her, however I moved her up during the making of this video. After uploading I think she fits better next to Finn in C. Also a little shifty on the Tisha placement, thinking of moving her down. I still don't think Boxten is undoubtedly better than Poppy, though I can understand placing them at the similar level. I also can't see Rodger going any higher, as although he has good extraction, his mobility is poor. Also has no ability in a gameplay sense (which this tier list is based off of). I appreciate hearing second opinions as it helps improve my views on Toons and the game in general. It challenges my original opinion and makes me think more critically about them.

One thing you could have mentioned while talking about Vee is that her passive lets her know if the last machine is being worked on so she can tell everyone to go to the elevator, This is very useful since low-movement speed or low-stealth toons can get to the elevator without having to cross the map with the risk of gettting hit during panic mode.

Poppy is just such a counteractive character, her survivability is absolute dog water because there is no point in "survivability" if you have to take a hit to be able to activate your speed boost. Also, I believe having literally any item that boosts your stamina, walkspeed, etc. Can all replace poppy as you don't have to take a heart in order to be able to activate them. A 50% speed boost on higher floors seems nice if you get hit, but if it lasts for 3 seconds and you encounter another twisted while trying to run away from one then you're essentially going to take another hit unless you have enough stamina to avoid that twisted or are able to juke the twisted and run away. Lastly, rating poppy above boxten feels like a war crime, especially when you consider boxten is just a 5 ext 3 speed 3 stealth character which is insanely nice. (If your team isn't just randoms, in which poppy becomes slightly better than boxten but just use a different character atp)

If Poppy gets hit by a twisted while low stamina, she can easily get out of the chase with the little stamina she has. Getting hit while low stamina is basically a death sentence because you won't have enough stamina to loop them around an object.

remember this video is a tierlist for starters, Poppy is way better for starters, at my first run in dandy's world, I used poppy and I got to floor 17 (And I also outlived everyone else), and I also survived a pebble + blackout at floor 5, Poppy's passive is really good, you just gotta save a lot of heals, and like it's not everytime you're going to get hit, only when you're in danger, basically being chased by twisted pebble.

@@shibadog1027 Whenever you get hit the twisted that hits you is stunned, this pretty much completely negates the need for her ability. I used boxten and got to floor 25 and outlived everyone else while also dealing with 2 pebbles in a row. The difference is skill aswell as luck. Your run won't be the same as mine, your ping wont be the same as mine, and your skill is not the same as mine. Theres a lot of ways we're different and you can't just measure a toon's ability by the floor you got with it.

@@Azralik0_0 The ability is bad but when you know you cant escape a twisted its better to take a hit and run faster, can work whit stompers (mains) shelly stays still for 1 second for you to get away the speed boost can help you reach a hidden spot faster making you waste less stamina if the twsited still manages to see you still

Personal tier list: (yap session ahead) F Tier: Shrimpo. E Tier: Scraps - As a “survivalist,” her stats really don’t help when doing that. She can’t distract nor extract, meaning it’s basically just a wasted slot. Her ability is also selfish, leading to no actual help to your team in game. Just awful. Atleast she’s consistent? D Tier: Razzle and Dazzle - Very mid and never worth using compared to other distractors/extractors, but Atleast they have a role to play unlike a certain toon… Poppy - Suffers from the same issues as Scraps, except her stat pool is overall better. Again, her ability is selfish, so not much help to her team, plus it requires you take damage, when you could just pick a toon that could just run away instead of taking damage… C Tier: Toodles - Better survivalist then scraps due to her stealth, and a fine ability that can help with extraction or distraction every blue moon. No real reason to use her if you have other choices though. Rodger - This video really made me realize how mid Rodger is. His extraction is fine for what it is and his higher stealth helps him a lot (cough cough Glisten cough cough literally any other non-skillcheck extractor except Boxten) Boxten - First good extractor that helps your team if used well. Honestly don’t understand why he’s below Poppy in the video… Teagan - Another better survivalist that can go on way longer with her heals. Nothing special. B Tier: Finn - Solid extractor with a nice ability. Even if he’s a weaker Shelly, he’s still good. Glisten - Very good extractor who suffers from an issue most extractors have, low stealth. His ability however, is one of the best in the game, even if it is selfish. Cosmo - Very good if used right, and as the video says, allows everyone to stay at full health easier. Even if he gets overshadowed a bit by Sprout, there’s different benefits to each. Brightney - Good extractor whose only real downside is her stealth. Decent ability, but is overshadowed by Vee a looooooot. Flutter - Pretty good distractor whose ability is very good for both survival and distracting. Not much else. A Tier: Goob - Toon who is not only good at distracting, but very good for helping teamates survive with his ability. Gigi - Gigi really is underrated. Great extractor whose only real downside is stamina. You can easily negate this however with her ability, which is probably one of the best abilities in the game. Tisha - The most versatile toon in the entire game, and can do each of them well. Great extractor, distractor, and support. Astro - There’s definitely a reason why Astro has gotten the most buffs out of any toon. He was always underpowered for a while, especially for being the most expensive toon. After the update however, he’s very good, even if he’s the weakest main imo. Great support and passive that helps his ability even more. Sprout - Best healer in the game and a good distractor. His ability both helps him locate toons to heal and look out for toons like Brightney when distracting. Great option. S Tier: Shelly - 2nd best extractor due to her great skillcheck and very good abilities. Also a very good support. Next 2 are practically tied, they could probably change spots multiple times per week depending on how I feel. Pebble - Best distractor due to his high speed and ability that practically negates low stealth toons interfering with distracting. Before the update he probably would have been high A Tier though. Vee - Not very surprising. Best extraction in the game by far, best abilities in the game by far, she has it all. Even if she has low survivability, her ability can help both her and her team in any situation when needed. Excels in blackouts better than Brightney imo. So uh yeah that’s my tier list. Reply if you think something’s wrong about it but thanks for reading. Edit: Added Goob, Gigi, and Flutter since I somehow forgot them. Edit 2: Put Glisten below Cosmo, as one replier pointed out his extraction isn’t the greatest, and he’s quite selfish but relies on his team. Edit 3: Put Pebble in the Same spot as Vee, as one commenter pointed out Pebble is great for surviving long floors (both solo and teams) while Vee struggles a little. Edit 4: Moved Razzle and Dazzle above Scraps and put Scraps into E Tier after realizing that atleast Razzle and Dazzle can help the team, while Scraps barely does anything.

I would heavily disagree with glisten’s placement and put him much lower. Like compared to other extractors, he can be pretty mediocre. Many people overrate him because of his 5 star extraction speed. Having a low skill check is a huge trade off especially when his only purpose is just to complete machines. Skill check is far more faster in completing machines than extraction speed because 2 of the top 3 trinkets in extracting rely on skill check. There is a reason why shelly is faster than glisten in extracting. Secondly, his ability is not even that great. Like sure you can escape from dangerous situations but you need a teammate to be alive and close by in order to teleport. His ability is practically useless in solos and without it, his survivability can be pretty average. And even on teams, you won’t even need to use it if you have distractors. Instead of you can just use an extractor with higher stealth increase your chances of not engaging in twisteds. Overall, he’s outclassed by other extractors in terms of solo and large parties. He’s not even the best extractor and other extractors can provide additional support other than completing machines. He lacks team value and solo value and is just completely selfish as a character.

I don't think vee excels better than brightney during blackouts, if we're talking about their active ability, then britghtney is overall better, specially that blackouts is where she excels at, having a much shorter cooldown and longer duration of 8seconds, plus you can't really compare these two as they both have different uses in the team

I hate how everybody is saying that x character should be in a higher tier because they are better with trinkets, literally every character is better with trinkets and it wouldn't even make sense to include trinkets if we are comparing characters.

That depends, some toons synergize better with trinkets than others. For instance: RnD gain less from trinkets due to the fact that their trinket build must be split between two stat layouts. Astro however benefits more from trinkets than most toons due to his stamina regen working well with stamina regen trinkets and run speed trinkets. Stats also play a role in this as better stats = more benefit from some trinkets. Shrimpo gains much less from manual and blue bandana than vee does because of his significantly worse extraction speed.

Honestly you can't rate the toons that much besides shrimpo as someone can prefect them and a one star difference on a main really ain't much if they die way faster so arguably non mains are better razzle being the best distractor and dazzle being best extractor

Seems like most people here aren't that experienced. Rodger's main purpose is RESEARCH, does not contribute to survivability whatsoever with that slow movement speed of his. Poppy is a well balanced Toon with a passive that help players to escape quickly, while Scraps has a lot of stamina with a great ability to get out of danger if there's a Toon nearby. Their survivability rate is much higher than Rodger which makes them better.

Being a good or bad toon is deternined by what the Toon offers by himself without taking into account the player's skills. And R&D doesn't bring much to the table. Being able to survive Long with a toon doesn't make him good. Hope that helps.

As a sprout and shelly main, I honestly agree with their placements. Imo, they have one of the funnest playstyles in the game. I also use RND. RND is good if used right. Though I kinda agree with the placement cause flip flopping can be annoying. The trinkets I use for RND are ribbon spool and speedshoes/dogplush. Ribbon spool being obvious, and speedshoes and dogplush so RND can distract. Also speed trinkets are a MUST when playing rnd. As rnd has 1 movement speed on even floors. {edited} Rewatching the video….uhh….some placements don’t really make sense. Boxten below poppy….Glisten in C….and just some other stuff. Other than that, Good video!

Umm unpopular take, but brightney should be in A tier even S! First, her 1 star stealth isnt bad, its not like u cant get off twisteds forever, she technically has 2 abilities, her bright lights in blackout and her navigating, HER COOLDOWN IS LIKE 40 her 4 star extraction speed and 4 star stamina is is also nice! Brightney is probably my least favorite toon. Not only is she super tedious to use due to getting spotted by twisteds all the time, but she’s a PAIN for distractors (pebble main talking here). I don’t goddamn care that she extracts fast, I have Rodger with dog plush and speedy shoes and he does just fine. Like Finn being Shelly but worse, Brightney is vee but worse and even more annoying to use. Okay I change my mind, she’s in b tier for me now.

1:06 As a Razzle and Dazzle main, I respect your opinion. The movement speed can be covered by trinkets, and I use him to both distract and extract depending on floor. And I usually get to around floor 20. 1:57 Rodger is a great toon if your looking for just basic ichor over all, Boxten surprisingly can beat him with his ability, which to sum it up if there 8 people in the round he can have the same extraction as Vee. But Rodger shouldnt be labeled as the worst extractor, I have gotten to floor 22 with him after all. Ik it's your opinion, RnD and Rodger is a great example of its the player, not the toon. 4:16 100% percent agree with you she's HELL to play with. 5:05 Her movement can be helped by I'd say speedy shoes or ribbon spool and extraction Vee mote and Blue bandana Scraps wasn't *to* bad to play with while I was getting Goob, I just mainly distracted with Dog plush and Speedy shoes. Overall She's a good toon, just not the greatest. 6:14 I started with boxten, And while I was playing her for the new Looey update I was kinda shocked by how good she was. 6:49 - "A big argument against her is that you need to take a hit for her ability to work, however there *are* moments in the game where you need to take hits" - 6:57 Is honestly the most helpful way of describing her. ok time for a yap session apologies 😥I feel that glisten shouldnt be in C tier, you mentioned only his skillcheck and stealth were bad as well as his long ability cooldown. First off, ability cooldown shouldnt be too much of a problem because if you have a distractor and a brain then you shouldnt even be encountering twisteds too often, so when you do, you can escape perfectly fine with his ability, making the long cooldown not much of a problem. His skillcheck is what balances him considering hes already a survivalist and extractor at the same time, not every character is going to be perfect and that is his flaw. But it's not even that bad considering you could always use magnifying glass, and the skillchecks are not even too hard to hit. Lastly, his stealth is basically irrelevant due to his ability as it just ensures you can survive with the low stealth. He also has 3 speed and 3 stamina which is good considering the rest of his stats and sometimes you don't even need to rely on his teleport. I feel like he deserves high B tier at the very least, but A tier would make the most sense, at least in my opinion. this isnt meant to come off as aggresive btw just trying to make a point

I see huge fights over poppy being higher than boxten, and it honestly makes more sense that she is. 1 - this teir list was made WITHOUT trinkets. Saying "oh well if you use this trinket for boxten, hes better!" LITTERALLY ANY TOON GETS BETTER WITH TRINKETS- (Except for Brick.) 2 - Poppy's ability is much better for STARTERS as it was made. I mean, gosh, we should talk about how hard it was for me to learn how to do a skill check. Whenever a twisted found me, that speed boost saved me countless times, even if I took a hit. Boxten is better for people who know how to play, Poppy is the better starter. This isn't very detailed so go ahead and tell me. I'm wrong, I wont ignore you.

Vee Is top of S tier for multiple reasons. First of all, her ability can prevent people from taking hits as sometimes distractors take a while to round up the twisteds. Secondly, soloing with pebble is near impossible, but vee's survivability isn't that important if you know how to hide from twisteds. Third, her passive can save everyone in a blackout as sometimes the machine spawns can be extremely hidden. This is more important if there is a fast twisted in a blackout like pebble and you want to get out as soon as you can. Lastly, vee is so cool

Dear people in the comment section, just because Poppy and Boxten are starters does NOT mean they are just that, they both have their pros and cons and I’ll name every single one I can think of for both to prove it, because starters CAN be useful and with that, Poppy deserves her spot in this tierlist and Boxten deserves to be with her, but not above or below her. Poppy: Pros: Good stat spread (duh) Good ability to escape one difficult twisted or a swarm of twisteds. Can use her ability to lead any twisted away from teamates or the elevator Can be a decent extractor (just like any toon with +3 or 3 extract and +2 or 2 skillcheck with the right trinkets) Can be a decent distractor (just like any toon with +3 or 3 speed with the right trinkets) She can easily make it to the elevator Good for solo runs. Very good to survive a long time and make it past floor 15 and beyond. Learns the player that sometimes taking a hit can be a good move to escape. Can be used to just extract, find items to survive or for her teammates and use ability to survive. (What I call the “selfish” playstyle) Cons: If played non selfishly (Leading twisteds away with ability) she needs to get a lot of healing. Ability can be used to troll (getting hit near a teammate and running away) There are other better options for distracting or leading twisteds away. Need game knowledge. (Need to know when to take the hit, how much stamina to have before taking the hit, where to run to, etc. Ability can be useless when low on stamina. Boxten: Pros: One of the best extractors when in a full lobby. Can be a decent distractor with the right trinkets and teamates to take over or help when needed. Good strat spread (duh) Remains a decent extractor when teamates start dying (Fun fact, 3 extract and skillcheck is still pretty good for exteacting, mindblowing right?) Can lead twisteds away from teamates to keep his ability with enough game knowledge. Teaches the player that keeping your teamates alive is important and that teamwork is key. Cons: There are better options for extracting once teamates start dying. Pretty bad for solo runs. Has to rely on his stat spread once teammates start dying. Will lose ability really fast in a lobby with new players. Really bad on higher floors when your teamates are dead (has to rely on his 3 speed and stam to escape twisteds, which is difficult when more twisteds spawn on higher floors and there’s no one to distract them)

I’d also like to add that Survivalists are often seen as: “Selfish”, but survivalists CAN help the team! They can use their decent stat spread to extract when the main extractors are busy finding items to survive or occupied in a chase, or can be use to lead twisteds away from machines, items, the elevator, etc. When they can’t fill a main role that’s already being filled (like distracting and extracting), they can run around the maps and collect items to help them survive while also informing the team when there’s really strong items on the map (like bandages, medkits, eject buttons, etc.)

I still think boxten should be higher. If you rank it based as newer player toon then obviously poppy is better, but if you rank it based as a normal "TOON" then obviously boxten better. Boxten have great extraction speed while also having all stats balanced. Yes poppy have a balanced stats either but her ability is useless. For rnd i recommend to use the ribbon and magnifying glass. ribbon is mainly use in an odd number at least rnd could still run away from few mains and any twisted meanwhile magnifying glass is to make rnd extraction on even number more effective. Edit: in my opinion rnd is pretty decent and underrated ik they both cannot really outstanding much like other toon but overall a toon who could become 2 main in diffrent number is pretty good advantage to use in a team.

I’m glad you put vee so high, because people just overlook her other abilities because of her movement speed. People need to realize that’s her movement speed isn’t even that bad… as long as you understand how to play the game her two star speed can be tackled especially if you have someone like goob who can help pull you from tricky situations.

I can say that putting gigi that low after you changing her even lower is kinda criminal as she has a typical survivability aside from her stamina, her stealth and movement is good. Her skill check makes it so that you can have participation award and magnifying glass without having trouble hitting gold. Her stamina may look hideous, but her movement is 3 stars, which is okay to use the cooler, provides 50 stamina. Which basically makes her about 2 stars movement and 3 stars stamina. Her ability is overpowered in some cases, as you can roll a pop or bottle o pop when let's say dandy is chasing you to get away. She is an okay toon and with the right trinkets, she can excell in extraction and stamina.

In my honest opinion, I disagree on the ranking on Rnd because Rnd can become an extractor/distractor which is a huge help for the team but beacuse of the 1 star movement speed on Rnd extractor form, Rnd gets a big disadvantage of running away from twisted but there's be a counter part which are backup distractor in the party such as Goob. Goob has a 2 star stealth which is great for saving Toons from twisted and Great for back up distracting which is a huge help for Rnd ( and other toons ) when Rnd is on Extractor form there's also trinkets such as Pink bow, Dog Plush and Running shoes which also helps Rnd when distracting and extracting. ( I putted extracting since when Rnd is found by a twisted Rnd could have a chance to run away ) There's also item that helps Rnd on the extractor base form the items will be Pop, Chocolate, Speed Candy and other survival items. So in my conclusion Rnd should be about D tier. Keep in mind, this is just my opinion

what I find absolutely criminal is that Sprout is considered the worst main, like seriously how is he the worst?? Sure his ability is expensive but he has the best support passive in the game, he literally can see the distractors and extractors and their health. Sure Astro can do the same as Sprout with stamina but Sprouts is constant, Astro can only see people with below 50% stamina. You also forgot to mention that Sprout easily has the best survivability stats, 5 stars in stamina and 4 stars in movement speed is op and sure he sucks at extracting but most people use veemote with it so it's easily looked past. My list will be: S - vee (the best extractor in the game and has the support mechanics for distractors), Goob (in my opinion the perfect distractor because of low stealth and being a support), astro (the best source of stamina and the best support), pebble (only behind goob for having 3 stealth) A - toodles (For me, she's better than Gigi because she has well-rounded stats, and you also know which buffs you'll receive in the ability), Shelly (the second worst main because she only works in games with many players) brightney (perfect for blackouts and a great example of support), sprout (the worst main because she is very dependent on ribbons and in matches with more than one person), cosmo (one of the best support choices and the best survival toon) B - Rodger (gaining double stamina is very good, but low movement), Tisha (a great distractor for the beginning game and has balanced stats), Poppy (good choice for a beginner Toon and better than boxten to work in any type of run, solo or team), glisten (a vee 2.0 but has an ability that only works in a team), boxten (again, only works in a team run) C - teagan (Perfect for dandy runs, but nothing more), flutter (a good Toon that you can do some insane plays with its active), scraps (honestly I would be more down if I didn't have the need for buy first than goob) D - gigi (low stamina = high chance of death), E - r&d (A very tacky passive) F - shirimpo (Do I have to explain?)

The boxten one annoys me. In lobbies of 8, ge has essentially the extraction of vee without any of the drawbacks. A slight speed increase when taking hits is almost useless and not as good as a slight extraction boost for as long as you have teammates. Also, Astro is way too high. His abilities are quite useless and easily outclassed by new toons like Connie (she wasn't out, I know) who have the same stealth, better extraction and the ability to avoid hits entirely, not to even mention how much ichor she gets after just a few floors.

I definitely do agree with the pinned comment placing Scraps lower. Though personally I’d put her even lower than Rodger. She’s a survivalist and has 5 stars in stamina, a stat which she can’t even make that much distance using anyway because of her below average movement speed. Her ability cannot function without a teammate, she’s reliant on another person being present to make use of it. Her ability is also reliant on line of sight. You won’t usually be using it in the middle of a floor unless it’s a particularly long distance because it’d likely just pin the twisteds onto the person you grappled to which is just selfish. Of course, there definitely are exceptions but that’s just how it usually goes. The main use for it is to pull yourself around the map faster and to pull yourself closer to the elevator. Admittedly it is a good thing to be able to do it and yes her ability does give an edge there and most elevators have a good chunk of open space around them. But the cons outweigh the pros by tons. She’s below average at surviving with basically only her ability being good for it, she’s below average at extracting which she likely will have to be doing a lot of in a run, she is an awful distractor to use because of her movement speed making her 5 star stamina useless. In my opinion she is also one of the worst picks in a solo run because her ability (which is where most of her survivability is at) is unusable. She provides no use for the team whatsoever. At the very least with Rodger his passive ability isn’t teammate reliant and can actually provide use by being an extractor. Though he has a lower survivability than her, if there is a distractor present a Rodger will always be better than a Scraps imo

@@alanlin6716 yeah slow extractor and can't distract, 5 star stealth doesn't really matter if you have a distractor. Maybe it's useful for super high runs with the ability, but lets be honest thats 0.1% of Dandy Run players.
