If you pay close attention at the very end of the video when Johnny is taking his son's hand after they go fishing you see a woman running toward them with a picnic basket in her hand and you know his prayer was answered and God did not take the girl. Makes the song a little easier to handle, but it still make me tear up even though I know she lives.

His sister would have come out of the house with Johnny and his dad. No, the girl came into their yard through the front gate carrying a fishing pole as she had seen them getting ready to go fish. But at 8, Johnny did not want his dad to take this girl. Ten years later, now 18, his opinion of girls had changed dramatically. Now he realizes nothing he owns is worth losing her. Five years later, the timing is perfect as Tim sings, "and Johnny hit his knees," the actor playing the now 23-year old Johnny's knees hit the hospital floor and he realizes that his life is nowhere near as important as hers. The only redeeming part is that God may answer prayers but need zero of the things humans can offer...He don't make bargains. He answered the prayer as the final scene shows Johnny, now Johnny Sr., taking Johnny Jr fishing and who is there in the background? The girl, fully recovered and carrying a picnic basket.

Those are the actual people who voted for tyranny over freedom, establishment over a true chance at relative freedom. It is only the heartless that are capable of either monstrously: disliking something so beautiful such as this video and disliking an actual shot at political and economic freedom for our country. It is no coincidence. Those who dislike beauty also dislike political and econonmic freedom and prosperity for their fellow mankind.

This is one of the few songs that will always give me goosebumps every time I listen to it. I've heard it 100 times in my life and I still tear up.

This song was released in 1994 so it was close to the 80's. Can you react to George Strait Check Yes or No, Amarillo by Morning, Give it Away, Love without End Amen or write this down.
