Tooter Turtle - 1960-61

Assuming many different identities, Tooter went from being a lumberjack to a taxi driver, from pre-historic times to the moon. He always wound up botching the jobs and getting in trouble. Crying out "Help, Mr. Wizard!", Tooter invoked the powers of Mr. Wizard to get him home. Mr. Wizard complied, with his magical chant: "Drizzle, Drazzle, Druzzle, Drome, time for this one to come home!"

I became a ski lift operator in the 80's. During the first whiteout blizzard that I experienced, I was stationed in the only liftshack without a heater. That was when I came to know why someone had written on the wall, "Help me Mr. Wizard, I don't want to be a lift operator anymore".

I can't remember how old I was but this is pure gold. all these old cartoons can't compete with today's cartoons. I was watching ASTRO boy, Magill Gorilla. George of the Jungle. Roger Ramjet,Rocky and Bullwinkle, Benny and Cecil, Top Cat, Fat Albert, ❤and Tooshay Turtle, that's what I use to call it.😊😊 as Bob Hope would say Thanks for the Memories ❤

At my age today being born in 1963 it truly was a technological miracle to all those who allowed for me to look up as all those as this one after talking about the bits of incredible ability when it's happened as again with going just with the Mr wizard cartoon and there was all but the unfortunate loss of one that had no audio! Thanks to God those who had kept the rest of my childhood favorites as this vintage collection is today's happiest 4th of July holidays in my life with simply asking KZbin that's always had the things I had simply to request whenever I had to ask even though I'm 58 now but my iner child is just as as happy if not more to be her just with my kitty today. Amen

I remember this cartoon! Be just who you are because that will be the happiest one! We wouldn't miss this cartoon and would repeat Mr. Wizard's advice to Tooter! Many years later, this still holds true! Trying to be someone or something you aren't will compound your life! Wisdom is the best teacher, but sometimes we have to learn through trials.

Being 62, I probably saw these when originally airing. I haven't seen The Matrix, but supposedly, Keanu Reeves asks mr wizard to get him outta here. Thanks for the posts- i'd forgotten about the episode plots, but always remembered the plea for help and the poor spinning turtle .... love it.

Y'know, it's interesting.. in the beginning, the show used stock cues later on Nickelodeon cult favorites Ren And Stimpy (going back to John K.) and SpongeBob SquarePantrs, (various composers), then those associated with Casper, the Friendly Ghost (Friendliest Ghost you know!) and Felix the Cat (both in their pre-1990s reboots) (Winston Sharples). Same for King Leonardo and The Hunter but not the other segment of KL, Twinkles Elephant. This was when TTV wrote, but TVS(pots) produced it. the later cues came with later TVS and TTV themselves, and they co ntinued the Sharples cues archived from old Casper (and other Famous Harveytoons) shorts on Tennesse TUxedo, and now KL/Hunter, but then created a new library of original cues for Tux, and Underdog. Yet Tennesse Tuxedo and Underdog came too late for those Ren and Stimpy cues! (Like Hanna-Barbera using the Capitol library used on Gumby, some Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies etc.etc.) then Hoyt Curtin, then Ted Nichols, to do their own music..:)

Hi,Cori I'm new to your blog. when I say I've been watching these old cartoons back in the early 60s though till 196. I just turned 68 in December of last year. so I know my cartoons. grew up looking at Popeye Fliex the Cat.looney tunes. Little Lulu. and my niece loved and I do to.He Man. Back in the 80s, and has the movie. I don't know how old you are. but in house we had Black and white TV and Rabbit ears with tin foil. no remote
