He was inspired by another musician from Belgium - Django Reinhardt. He learned the instrument listening to Django’s recordings. Here he does those two other things (whistling and guitar playing), but chromatic harmonica was really his number one instrument.

No habia visto esto... MUCHAS GRACIAS POR SUBIRLO... El belga Toots Thielemans con su composición mas conocida 'Bluesette' pero con la inolvidable Elis Regina WOW!! Toots empezó como guitarrista que doblaba las melodías con su silbido... La armónica vino después. El propietario de un local en el que tocaba de joven, le pidió la toque más seguido, en vez de la guitarra con silbido, ya que cuando estaba con la armónica, la gente le consumía más... Aquí sin su armónica... Fue tremendo guitarrista también ❤
