Lopesan is far from the best resorts of Punta Cana. Would not recommend it to anyone. Was very disappointed

We are at Lopesan now and would not return. Staff are disinterested and the food is awful. We tried 2 a la cartes and they were inedible. This is the first time we’ve ever had an awful food experience at any resort we’ve ever been at. The Unique buffet is terrible and filled with mystery food. We’ve been opting for the buffet. The drinks are also terrible. Outlets in our room don’t work and the staff have come in to our room while we were sleeping (8am) to change towels. Resort grounds are beautiful though!

My wife and I went to secrets Royals last year the most amazing resort we had the preferred package and it was worth the extra you pay we had amazing food wine and champagne, and not the cheap stuff brought to our room and 24 hour room service seniors and we loved it

@@VIP_Travel the food was excellent (best AI we've had). Resort was clean and staff was on top of everything. My kids loved the water park. Only insider tip is they do have kids activities at night so parents can drop off kids and go to Zilara for dinner. Take advantage of that if you can.

@@asingh67266 AJ, we stayed on the resort grounds the entire time. Loved the coffee shop in morning for my cappuccino, the morning breakfast buffet was perfect and the steakhouse was delicious! Others restaurants were awesome too. Beach was clean with lots of room, but get there early to get a good chair location. The ENTIRE staff was absolutely great! We are heading back there this November. The night shows were good, but if the Tribute to Queen is on, make it a must! It was the best!! Good Luck

How does Ziva compare to Finest (by excellence)? Is there a lot of seaweed on Cap Cana beaches on comparison to Punta Cana?

Hi! Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana is a great all inclusive resort with a Waterpark, Kids Club and high ratings for service. It is in a safe area. The rooms start at an average of $760 per night for 2 adults. Finest Punta Cana is also a fantastic all inclusive option as it is ownex by Excellence. It also has many activities, a kids club, water slide area, and has a secluded adults only area. The average starting price for rooms is $346 per night. They are both great options depending on your needs and wants. Seaweed season in DR is normally from Sept. - Jan. Both of these resorts are on the eastern side of the island which does experience sargassum. The resorts do a good job of trying to keep the beaches clean. Beaches on the north and south areas of the island, like La Romana seem to have less seaweed during the season. I hope this was helpful! Let me know what you think of the resort you choose! Which resorts in the DR has clear water? I've been to Punta Cana 3 times and love Bavaro beach but the ocean is murky. I'm considering La Romana or Samana and was wondering what the beaches are like there?

Hi, Thanks for your question! The seaweed is definitely something that can ruin a vacation. Seaweed season is typically from April to October in DR. You got me excited by the Eden Roc but sadly when I looked it up, it’s not all-inclusive. Only breakfast is included 🤷‍♀️ no drinks, lunch or dinner.

Hard Rock Punta Cana has amazing reviews. It is on beautiful Macao Beach which is longer and wider than many area beaches. There are some seaweed issues, but the resort works to keep the beach clean. There's a casino, shopping, pools and tons of activities for singles, couples and families. It is such a large property that some people say it takes a while to walk to amenities. As a mother, I completely understand your concerns. Of course you have to decide for your family, but I would feel safe visiting DR. I think the closest airport would be PUJ Punta Cana airport. While your resort may be able to provide the best excursions, another company to check out is Punta Cana tours. They have a money back guarantee and good reviews. @@VIP_Travel my husband and I haven’t been to one of the ones in the DR yet, but we have a trip planned to their El Carmen location this summer. We have however been to their Riviera Maya location in Mexico a few years back and it was absolutely amazing. The rooms, food, beaches and service was a dream. Excellence is a solid brand!
