I was surprised not to see "Cloud Pod" anywhere in this list. I feel like there's always people trying to find new ways to jam that card every time a new selection of FF7 cards gets released, or in other words... every set.

Because he's hanging around just enough to be relevant, I didn't feel it was appropriate to put him on a list of no longer seeing play.

@@rudrose_entertainment fair. He's only not seeing play until someone tries playing him again when something new comes along that might give him a new purpose. And most of the cards on this list have been phased out because newer cards more or less do what they do but do it better. No other card does what "Cloud Pod" does, but it's not seeing play because what it does just isn't good enough at the moment

@@FinnyThePooHonestly it's the kind of card that is always a shot to win a tourney since he demands an instant answer and if they can't he just goes off. I don't see that ever changing given the design of the card.

Hey! Congratulations on the big win Champ! I am always trying to understand the game better which is difficult cuz I really only play vs my one friend. You said, "the number one card" can't be interacted with manually which suggest it can be interacted with somehow? Any example would be greatly appreciated.. p.s. Finally finished FFX after owning it for idk 20 years. 10/10 experience. and I didn't name the card because spoilers..

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked X, it's a fantastic game. So in the end Phase, neither player can "manually" add anything to the stack. However Auto Abilities will still trigger. So Kadaj effect triggers, return him to the field. But you can't respond to that with an Amaterasu. If I had a forward that says, "When one of your forwards enters play, do X" that will still occur but I can't purposefully add something new to the stack. Hopefully that makes sense and if not I can explain further.

@@rudrose_entertainment yeah I think I get it. During end phase turn over you can't add to that trigger but the trigger itself will resolve. Assumably immediately. . Like if some fire card pings something on entry. Attack power reduces but resets when you opponent is given thier turn. Is my understanding.

Are the FFX custom starter deck cards old enough to appear in this list? It was one of the few starter decks that felt like playing with the party, everyone had a role and worked in synergy. And then it dissapeared 3 sets after

Man I really debated putting that list on here because I loved it and Wakka especially fell out of favor fast. But I ultimately felt it was just a hair too recent.
