Sad to see that there are only 2 playstyles viable... only counterattack trainers are meta since the game came out! As a tactic fan, I really am annoyed that konami isnt working on a balanced playstyle... I tried all trainers since the update and you can play and win with every trainer, but when you get in high elo (league 1) you really will notice that you have to adapt to the meta or you will get problems really fast :(

I mean, PES always had this "feature" that allows you to only sprint and through pass and still score sometimes. But this game is really a shadow of former PES glory. They only care about the whales who buy the packs

If we had the arrows for the running lanes from PES 5, the other instructions like hug the touchline which I liked, and most importantly the sliders that define a tactic rather than this dumbed down version. It's all there, probably on Konami's drives. It's just obvious they hate their fans and love their whales

​@@hah-vj7hc Those were the days... But I like to think they will still bring that back, I think part of the problem is people like me who play of PC, Console and Mobile... I play on all platforms, depending on what's convenient in the moment. The main issue is that they want all platforms to be identical, from what I can see, the Mobile is catching up, once they have all the tactic programmed in, they might bring back the other old PES features as well such as Master League, but that will be a DLC

It's a difficult video I would say. Best passing level to use changes like after every update. You need to play around with it to see what works.

Good video Barry. Also notice how everyone in the top 10 uses small, fast strikers with great balance and ball control. And these guys build their players very differently from the average players. Most points go into speed/acceleration, balance and ball control. These guys score the same goal over and over. It’s always a cutback for an easy finish. No need for them to spend points on finishing. Very interesting that you never see Romario and Ronaldo in the top 50 or so.

Especially if they all have high offensive awareness in the 90s, with 3 CFs you just need 1 good cross or cut back and you're in. It works very well for LBC.

L-stick dribbling is way more effective then skill moves at the moment. So agile strikers is the way to go. I'm pushing rank with Mbappe big time and Maradona booster. Speed and L-stick dribbling seems more effective. With Romario I have to be much more patient due to his playstyle, but if a player has a good defensive setup Romario is a great second option to maneuver a goal. But in my opinion, fox in the box is not the best option for a good winstreak to push rank. Peace ✌

QC definitely been better for me since the update, it's always been QC or LBC for me depends what they do in each update. Tried all the other playstyles and they simply don't work when you get to a certain level and want to get wins to progress. If you can't beat them join them 🤣 or find your own Meta. I use 4 CB but have them as RB and LB I also have Lmf/Rmf with 2 CF find this works best for me. Great vid Barry 👍

For me, you should be able to train managers up in one other play style that’s fits how you want to play, and have 3 custom formation, defensive, neutral, attack 🤷‍♂️

Lad, interesting video. The thing is that the manager with the highest rating is a possession manager - that is somehow unfair. There should be manager with equal high stats for each playstlye. On the other side your linup will also effect runs and free spaces. I tried single pivot with 4123 but I found that it clogs up the zone before the box, as the additional AMF lures in more opposing players. When playing 4213 the wide players, regardless of being wingers or center forwards have more room to run into.

@@H4FIZS New Pep has 88 Proficiency which gives +3 boost to stats 85 to 96 (at base level, without manager boost or booster boost) Old Kloop has 87 proficiency which gives +3 boost to all stats 88 to 96 at base level. New Klopp has 85 proficiency which gives +3 boost to stats 93 to 96 at base level

It’s a lot more fun with 3 at the back, if you can manually defend makes games more end to end, plays well against meta, I have 3 cbs one dmf and a cmf side by side one amf two wingers and two upfront, miles more fun

I found a good anti meta, it’s a 343 2 dmfs 1 cmf and 1 AMF with 3 cbs and 1 cf and 2 wingers with L. Roman and possession play style

But that it requires you to trigger ai runs very well and know how to play good combinations, and defensively you need to be able to defend manually and control GK, because of the defensive high line. That's not to say that the best players will not be able to adjust to possession and that possession players will do good with QC/LQ.

Great content as always Barry 💪 I'd been using quick counter since the start, but after the new update I've been playing long ball counter 😅 Reason being is that I was getting no advantage with Inzaghi other than stamina, but I have a good bench and I'd also sold the old Klopp 🤦🏻‍♂️ So pretty much everyone had the advantage on me, but Hag makes ALL my players faster, even down to Pirlo etc. I'd tried possession, wasn't working online, and since I've switched I'm hammering people 🤷🏻‍♂️ That will do me 😅✌️

Anyone outside the top 1000 who plays META for "fun" is tragic. The hilarity is watching them spew their max assist spam through balls unawares at how crap they actually are at the game. They think they will be like one of the pros but have no idea how to play like them.

Is it just me as a non regular player i feel like with my team i barely ever have control over a match i never bought anything so got a free 2 play team and using 433 quick counter but it always feels like i cant go anywhere and defending feels impossible

I’m new to the game too but I’m not sure quick counter is particularly about control…long ball might be better for that as it’s better defensively, but still not control, your team will sit off

He now has a gaming router and can set it so that he only plays in his region and doesn't come across opponents further away. You can limit that. With the router it's easier to play with a stable connection, but he's a very good player, no question

@@JS-rh4pn 85 playstyle boosts players stats from 93 (not including their booster, it's from base) by 3, 87 boosts from 88 and 88 boosts from 85. So there's quite a big difference between 85 and 87 ✌️

So with 85 playstyle proficiency it would boost 93 to 96 but 92 would only give 94 with the manager boost. The old Klopp boosts base stats from 88 so 88 becomes 91 and the new Pep has 88 playstyle proficiency which gives a +3 from any 85 base stat. I think it's inevitable that we'll get managers that give us a +3 from 80 at some point. ✌️

In my opinion, ph3 is actually better than ph1 and ph2. You can make better angles in the passes. And you can better pass to the player you want. Or pass in the free room in the pitch. Ph3 was shit in the last Updates. Now it is meta in my opinion.

Depends on which DMF it is, some DMFs can really hold their own by themselves. E.g Special Purple Card Tchoumeni (Box-2-Box), Viera, Rijkard ... Mainly the Lengthy guys with long legs to block everything. my Tchoumeni has 85 speed and all his defensive stats in 90s, he's also surprisingly very good on the ball, is super Physical and Can pass, hes the closest thing to Viera.... Point is, you need someone Strong and Mobile to do 1 DMF
