Great list even if you are missing the best one which I say with a lot of local bias. The Red -capped Parrot :)

You forgot cockatiels the second most popular parrots, please make a video about cockatiels.
@epicbirds28643 жыл бұрын
Please watch the ‘Top Australian Cockatoos’ video - it includes cockatiels which are certainly beautiful birds but actually classed as cockatoos rather than parrots :)

So no Lorikeets, Cockatiels or even the majestic Palm Cockatoos made the list ?? I was noticing a pattern amongst all the names except for the budgie, and that is they all had the word "parrot" in their name. There are plenty of Australian parrots which don't have the word "parrot" in their name - just look at the Cacatuidae family, consisting of 21 Cockatoo species alone, (per Wikipedia), none of which made it to this video. I'm quite surprised the Palm Cockatoo didn't make the list 😞
@epicbirds28642 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comments, the Australian Cockatoos (including Palm Cockatoos) are actually in a separate video 'Top 7 Australian Cockatoos'. You are correct that the lorikeets are missing from this video, it was excruciatingly difficult to decide on my top 10 - but there are several lorikeet species in my 'Top 20 Parrots' video so I hope that makes up for it

Not an Australian parrot but Indian Continent. Parrots in Australia are rare and stunning too.
@GeckoTech_Engineer Жыл бұрын
In australia they aren’t exactly rare, parrots are everywhere
@sampodbury7958 Жыл бұрын
That fact you didn’t mention a single rosella makes me disappointed seeing they are found in every state and territory, plus having a wide range of different species found in there aligned Genus.
@epicbirds2864 Жыл бұрын
That’s certainly a very fair point, I should also have added some more lorikeets too in hind sight. To make up for these omissions I created a ‘top 20 parrots’ video which includes several rosellas among others, it is also here on the channel if you are interested.

What about Rosellas

Hello! It turns out that Cockatiels are actually cockatoos rather than parrots, so you can see them in the ‘top cockatoos’ video :)

I'm surprised you chose the Bugerigar at number one. Everyone in world knows them, most people have owned one at some time or another in the world and many people have changed their colour. Only in Australia in their native state are they green. In the rest of the world, they've been changed to all sorts of colours.
