Honestly, sansa deserves so much recognition. Just because she doesn't fit the ideal meaning of badass for most people it's truly unfair to exclude her cause when you look through her journey you will notice that she is badass in her own way. Not everyone that uses their fists to fight are badass. Some of them use their brain too like Sansa and cersie.

I have issues with the fact that male writers tend to think female characters can only be strong women by killing people, but...seeing as that's what we've got to work with for right now, I do applaud Game of Thrones for its strong female characters. I like that they are present and not defined by their male counterparts. I also like that they want things other than a relationship or children. GoT's depiction of women was not perfect, but it is lightyears ahead of other shows. I predict that, in the future, the show will be remembered for its female characters if nothing else.

There was nothing she could tell him except she sent a raven, they then headed back by sea north, then down the KR to meet up from the wildlings, they make battle camp at Winterfell and all indications are LF never replied to her. If she tells him; she have no answers except who she ask for, but no when, from where , how many, etc. can't make battle plans with no solid info so the best option was just convince Jon to stick to his plan and hope LF shows up or Jon defeats Ramsay. In the end it came down to Ramsay had Rickon and they didn't and Jon lost until LF showed up.

Actually Sansa had enough on him without Bran; she was either a witness or a victim of his many crimes. Bran just added stuff she didn't know about: The dagger, betraying Ned, Arya, Tywin and LF at Harrenhal and Bran possibly told her LF playing Arya. Sansa learned her lessons well: "know your strengths and weakness, 1 man can be worth 10,000" LF S4; she had that one man, went to his room and asked the questions. She set the board and he was fooked.

#1 for me is Sansa being crowned Queen of the North. Nothing feels more badass than seeing her outliving all of her abusers, regaining the North’s independence and bringing back a Stark into Winterfell. She was manipulated and tormented by the worst and came out on top. Hail Queen of the North!

Come to think of it, the Starks won everything! Sansa is Queen of the North, John is in his element even more far North, Bran is King of the rest of Westeros and Arya is a great Explorer making new discoveries around the globe. While Tyrion's stated reasoning for Bran being King sounds dopey to most, the real reason is that Bran is the One Eyed Raven who can see, know and understand all and since he is a Stark, who are generally THE main heroic ones of GoT, he's a good guy who everyone's best interest at heart. Also, this saga wouldn't have happened if little Bran was not climbing that old tower on that fateful day. The Saga started and ended with him. Bran may not have the pizazz of the others and is mostly on the side and his Dark Horse victory may have made everyone go "No way!" but since this series has a point to make and subverts high fantasy tropes to do it, it makes sense. As much as folks loved Jon Snow and expected him to be THE hero... he really was a well meaning but often clueless young man and he's better suited where he wound up. A Three-Eyed Raven like Bran could use to abilities to see the lives of the common citizen and understand their needs. He can foresee evil plots and stop them. The possibilities are endless. I think a lot of people are miffed with how things turned out because it went against the usual fantasy tropes and expectations plus certain elements with pacing. They expected a good old fashioned "Jon & Daenerys kill off the White Walkers and reign together heroically and live happily ever after" or something like that. However, they never consider themes or deeper messages... or the fact that Daenerys, while no doubt awesome and cool, was actually a brutal person who would never be good at actually ruling a country. She's the embodiment of the "White Savior" and "Idealism Gone Wrong" archetypes and may have been a villain from the beginning... but she was written so we fell in love with as much as her followers did... to prove a point about how tyrants take power and how we could be fooled. That said, one Fantasy Trope is played straight in this story, the main heroes won the day. Since House Stark is basically the "Main Heroes as A Family" and they basically win The Game of Thrones... * Sansa Queen of the North. * Bran, King of the Rest of Westeros. * Jon the "King" (sort of) of the Wildings and others beyond the North. * Arya, "Queen" of assassin's, fighters, adventurers and exploration.

@@SpukiTheLoveKitten75 What frustrated me to be very honest was the way they wrote all the characters in the last season. Everything that did happen could have happened had they written it properly. Daeny going mad could have been done so well but it felt so rushed and so out of left field with the way they wrote it. Sansa in S8 left a very bad taste in my mouth, making it hard for me to be happy she was crowned. I wanted her so badly to be in a place of power at the end for the exact reason stated above but not like that. Jon...I am gonna be honest should have died for murdering the queen by the unsullied or her blood riders, the fact that he wasnt honestly made it feel like they wanted to tie everything up in a neat little bow. Bran being king felt random because he didnt do anything to help with the final battle or as the three eyed raven to assist besides confirming Jon's parentage. I wanted more time with each character to come into their own so those endings made sense and felt organic rather than okay we gotta wrap up a show. Thats what I think a lot of people have an issue with, I know thats what got me. But I love the way you explained your perspective I appreciate the detail and well thought out outline. I think your thoughts on Daeny are valid but I would argue that she isnt any more brutal than anyone else in the show up until season 7. People really ran with her being a "rightful queen" meant she had no flaws which was wildly untrue, Tyrion pointed out to her she could be impulsive and have a temper which is why the counsel to show restraint was so important.

The only real criticism on all levels I find reasonable is having Jamie Lannister, for no reason whatsoever, go back to Cersei after seeming to have an epiphany about how horrible his sister really was. There was no real reason for it. Why couldn't he become a hero and fall for Brienne and why can't Brienne have love? Have Cersei die in the Red Keep collapse alone and have Jamie and his newfound love, Brienne be there happily serving King Bran in the end.

Ned Stark was mad, he beheaded a deserter of the nights watch in front of ten year pld bran, he sentences the mountain to death just because a third person said he saw a man "foot taller than any other man he hd seen" burn his village, Arya stark was mad as she baked sons into cakes and fed to their father, then killed every person of house frey without confiming if they were all involved in the red wedding or not... so yeah... if dany was mad, so were all these people too

She wanted to "break the wheel," but started to fall back into the ways of Westeros because she expected everyone to just bend the knee. She was mad.

How could Sansa tell Jon her plans beforehand? 1) Jon wouldn’t listen to anything she had to say remember. And 2) littlefinger didn’t reply to her request for assistance, she didn’t know for sure they’d attend, she only calculated that it would be in their interests to attend, there was no knowing at that point whether littlefinger was still playing the Bolton side or hers. Imagine if Jon prepared his battle plan involving the knights of the vale, and they never showed, Sansa was smart enough to hold her tongue. I’d have done the same thing.

You know, I loved this show and the women characters so much! But, watching this, I realized that a lot if not most of the strongest women all got story endings where they lose it and become crazy and get killed, or can't stand being left after losing their virginity...I don't know. Even the Leana character is killed, so you know, it was king of disapointing. Thank god my fav survived and moved on.

I was very annoyed with the cult at the capital, I also did not like Cersi but when she blew that really annoying cult up I screamed with happiness and I don't regret it.
