Paramore. It’s actually one of my favorite bands. They had to lose and bring back members, and then deal with some bs of an ex-member. So the members that basically stayed all along were Hayley and Taylor. What’s more, Hayley is still dealing with chronic depression. They have some songs about hardships, but I was surprised when their style changed completely in After Laughter; the instrumentals were happy while the lyrics were mostly about depression and how they hate to be idolized because they are no better than anyone just for being celebrities/musicians. Btw thank you for listening to BMTH new songs! Hopefully one day people get to listen their newest album Survival Horror.

Taylor wasn’t on the first two albums… All We Know is Falling and Riot! lineup was Hayley, the Farro brothers, and Jeremy Davis. Brand New Eyes became the first recording Taylor was featured on (he had toured with them prior, but still not from the very beginning). That was the only album to feature ALL five members. Self-titled saw both of the Farro brothers depart from the band. After Laughter marked the departure of bassist Jeremy Davis BUT the return of Zac Farro (the much cooler Farro brother cuz Josh was the one you mentioned who caused drama and from what I’ve heard he’s also a homophobe so blech). And now the lineup is still currently Hayley Williams, Taylor York, and Zac Farro, who are all featured on This Is Why. Total album count: Hayley Williams- all 6 albums Josh Farro- 3 albums Jeremy Davis- 4 albums Taylor York- 4 albums Zac Farro- 5 albums Taylor is the only one besides Hayley who hasn’t departed the band since joining, but despite Zac’s brief departure, he only missed one album recording and therefore still ranks highest out of any of the other members besides Hayley for album contributions. So “most consistent” of the guys could be Taylor or Zac, depending on how you look at it. But while Taylor has stayed since joining, he hasn’t “stayed the whole time” bc he wasn’t there the whole time. He wasn’t only not a founding member in technicality, he literally wasn’t on the recordings for the first TWO albums. He’s still awesome, as is Zac, but, either way, Hayley’s the only one who’s been there the ENTIRE time and the changes in Paramore have highly correlated with the evolution of Hayley as a person, which I think is super cool.

The Beach Boys went from surf rock (all their albums up until 1965), to art rock (Beach Boys Today!, Summer Days and Summer Nights), to musical masterpieces (Pet Sounds, SMiLE), to weird lo-fi (Smiley Smile) to soul (Wild Honey), to jazz (Friends), to proto-indie (20/20, Sunflower, Surf's Up), to yacht rock (Carl & The Passions, Holland), to new wave/synth-pop (Love You), to disco (LA Light Album), to weird futuristic pop (1985 self-titled), to Mike Love's vanity projects (Still Cruisin', Summer In Paradise), to shitty country cover band (Stars & Stripes), and back to art rock (That's Why God Made The Radio).
@SomeonesOpinion Жыл бұрын
I wouldn't call Today! and Summer Days prog by any means, especially the former which is largely mediocre in my opinion save the singles and Good To My Baby. Other than that, my thoughts exactly. In fact, I'd go even deeper: Pet Sounds is borderline classical, (Smiley) Smile is psychedelic rock, Wild Honey is R&B inspired and Friends is jazz-inspired. By far one of the most experimental bands of all time, mostly thanks to Brian Wilson of course.
@davidnissim589 Жыл бұрын

@@davidnissim589 Absolutely agree that Pet Sounds/Smile inspired prog rock; I wouldn't call Today! art rock either. I don't see much artistic merit to most of the songs, it feels like mostly filler. I will say that you can hear traces of Pet Sounds in "Good To My Baby" and "Kiss Me Baby"- hell, even on Rhonda and "Do You Wanna Dance?". The good songs are classics but the rest are just boring filler to me, a shame because most Beach Boys album tracks up to this point were on-par with the hits. I have no such slander for Summer Days though, a classic album.

As a fan of P!atD, FOB, and MCR, the latter two had much more linear changes, as in from rock/punk that continued to inch closer and closer to pop. Panic! at the Disco, meanwhile, is like some kid at a toy store, from Baroque Emo to Beatles-esque folk to Pop Punk to Britney Spears Synth to Frank Sinatra Pop to Theater inspired trumpety pop. Idk, maybe that's just me, but Panic! is like the band personification of an identity crisis.

they changed because they didn't want to repeat the winning formula or be stuck playing the same all the time. a normal band has a huge hit with "she loves you" and makes a record called "she loves you" with that one opening side A, and 9 filler songs that are mostly the same, then they milk the "yeah yeah yeah" formula for at least five years before trying something new. a normal band would have stayed being the mop tops playing "yeah yeah yeah" songs until the early 70s, then they would have tried something different. MCR actually released Danger Days to promote Gerard's new comic which, surprise; was called Danger Days. The characters that the band played in the music videos were based off of real characters in the comic. Before they broke up, they were working on a new album called The Paper Kingdom, which was said to be the darkest album the band would have released. Yes, darker than Bullets, darker than Three Cheers, and even darker than The Black Parade. Also there's nothing wrong with Gerard being happy. He's had a hard life and has struggled through eating disorders, alcohol and drug abuse, anxiety, and if you haven't already guessed, sever depression. And he's still getting hate because he isn't as hot as he used to be, even though he's healthier and happier than ever. People can't seem to get over the fact that not everyone will forever be attractive. He's earned his right to be happy

I'm happy for Gerard and it's not in anyone else's place to be upset with him. Just because he's not as hot as he used used be he's still Gerard and his smile is still contagious and adorable An album darker than bullets? I wish they had released that, it would've been so cool! Slipknot in fact started out as very interesting, Mate Kill Feed Repeat is an amaizing album. With the first singer there were less hip-hop elements, but it was ultra heavy. If I remember right bitchslap on MFKR even has jazz elements to it. The self titled record has a bit industrial feeling to it because of the DJ parts, some songs seem like techno combined with metal. Although they cut back the electronic element later with Iowa.
@yewstew83125 жыл бұрын
MEDVE1978 yeah I agree. They somewhat made their own sound during their self titled. It’s weird when they kicked Anders and added Corey and Sid everything changed especially with Sid on turntables. Keep in mind they had Craig but he was more or less the sound technician. I guess they were just looking for the sound they needed for the rest of their career, b/c whatever sound they were “looking” for was found. I’ve loved all of their albums but their self titled album just has a place in my heart

It's weird, but I like almost all their albums. Each one for it's own twist and style. Load and Reload were not Master of Puppets but it was good for on it's own. Shit even St. Anger had it's small moments...ugh those drums ruined everything....Death Magnetic and Hardwired were similar, like slowed down Killem All. Like those phone and computers made for old people. Same idea just all the icons, buttons and numbers are bigger so you can see it better.

Not only BMTH early music is radically different to their current sound, but a lot of the in-between stuff (Like There is a Hell and Sempiternal) sounds really different than both different to their early deathcore sound and their pop sound nowadays. Of course Metallica also fluctuated between different things through their career but I don't really think the contrast between those individual "eras" of Metallica's sound is as big as the individual "eras" for BMTH. I personally didn’t hear them for the first time until Reroute to Remain, and that’s what got me interested. I went back and listened to their older stuff and enjoyed it, but R2R was still more my style. I hung on for a few more albums, but I lost interest after Sounds of a Playground fading. Only two members remain from when I found them.

As far as avenged sevenfold goes, I saw M Shadows talking in an interview and the screaming was messing up his vocal chords so he had to switch it up. Corey Taylor had a few surgeries for the same issues I think

Sum 41 went from skate punk to pop punk to punk rock and they're pretty much metal now.

Emarosas first album was amazing, one of my top 5 favorite of all time. I also like their EP from back when they were corsets are cages. Then they turned into the circa survive version of dance Gavin dance, now they’re kinda generic 😩
@darkshotz60345 жыл бұрын
@@hasnaintinwala6920 gotta disagree. They sound generic, and only have a few good songs from last 2 albums. (This is our) House is utter garbage from the upcoming album, Battles album has a few decent songs, Siren Charms is garbage. I enjoyed all albums before these last couple tho
