I always wanted the Dreamhouse, but every year it got more expensive. Eventually I got too old for it. I had more than a dozen Barbie dolls. The coolest accessory I had was the Powder Puff Jeep. It came with stickers to decorate it!

I was a huge Barbie fan growing up and I had pretty much every Barbie toy you can think of: the pool, fashion closet, all of the fabulous clothes and accessories, cars and camper. The only Barbie thing that I didn’t have was the dream house. However, I did own a Barbie townhouse. Those dream houses are expensive! Honestly, had my mother would’ve bought me that dream house, that would’ve been my only Christmas present. I always wanted a dream house, but now when I look at the prices, I don’t blame my mom or any parent lol 😂🩷🌸🏡

Ya’ll were so lucky! When I was a kid, I had one Barbie, one Midge, and one Skipper. Had some clothes and made up a house out of boxes, etc. Borrowed GI Joe from my brother. Still had a good time around 1965. 😂

I saw that pink limo at Epcot with the Barbie face characters when I was nine years old! They actually drove it THROUGH World Showcase because it wasn't always shoulder to shoulder people back then so it could safely be done. I was over the MOON. 😂

This ended up a little long, so you're forewarned. Hopefully it will give you the warm fuzzies, though. I had ALL of the '90s Holiday Barbies, but I never actually played with them. They sat lined on a shelf in my room because they were so pretty. A few years ago I found them again in a closet, covered in dust. Being in my 30s I realized what a waste it was for them to just be sitting in their boxes, un-played-with, so I finally let go of them. My uncle picked out three of them for a family at my his church that he was incredibly close with, and the rest were donated to our local charity for their annual Christmas "toy store" (it was set up like a store and each parent was able to pick two toys for each of their children, including gift wrapping). The family my uncle knew had VERY little money because they were in the country on a work visa while the father was in seminary school to become a pastor, originally coming from Myanmar if I remember correctly. The three girls in the family were basically like the grandkids my uncle never had, and they treated him like their family's elder according to their customs as though he WAS their grandfather. He loved those girls like they were his own, and he knew they'd love those dolls. They absolutely did, too, even the oldest who was in high school. He told me she had hers out of the box in its stand, displayed in her bedroom. The younger two were still little enough to play with theirs, and he said they were _enchanted_ by them because they'd never had any dolls that were so beautiful. It still warms my heart to know that those three dolls ended up SO very loved the way they were supposed to be from the start. When my uncle passed away in 2020 from cancer that family was a godsend to us in that time, taking care of cleaning his condo for us, moving/donating all of the furniture out for other families in his church, helping us take care of him in his final weeks, etc. We asked the father to officiate his funeral (he did a wonderful job), and the family was with us at the burial. Every time we go out to the cemetery with fresh flowers, we see wilted flowers and spent incense sticks on his marker from them because they still visit him regularly, too. 💜

Any Barbie was what I wanted as a kid, Disney related, wardrobe, those dollhouses, and so on. One doll I got that I requested the most was chicken pox Kelly (she's technically Barbie, just her younger sister). I loved being able to cure her of the chicken pox (though I didn't know how to use the eraser right), brushing her hair, and putting her to bed

I had the mid-90s pink Dream House! I got it as a Christmas gift and it was my favorite! Also from this list, I had the airplane and Barbie and Keiko the Whale. I loved played with Keiko in the bath, if you put her underwater and then took her out and squeezed, a small jet of water would come out from a hole on her back. Super fun! 😊

Bubble fairy Barbie doll named Christi. I went to the store with my birthday money from Grandma and picked her out because she had a blue dress and blew bubbles when she spun. An old jerk told my mom that I was buying the wrong doll because Christi was black and I'm not. My mom said that I could have whatever doll I wanted to buy with my own money. My dad said that I could have her as long as I don't make her cook and clean for the other Barbies. I still have her.

I’ll never forget getting the 2006 Barbie Dream house for Christmas 2006. I remember waking up early on that Christmas morning, going into the living room, seeing the house put together and decided on playing with my Wish Bear inside of it. (Yes, I’m a Gen Z 2000s kid. I grew up with the 2002 Care Bears as well as other rebooted franchises.) But as I grew up, I used it as a castle for my MLP G3 ponies, I also used it for WALL.E’s house back when I recreated the movie when I was 8 years old and I somehow just used the house for just about anything I was into back in the mid-late 2000s\early 2010s.

That is a beautiful memory. Too bad I don't have room for a Barbie house in my bedroom. I have Wish Bear but I got her at a Community Yard Sale in on Labor Day weekend in 2010. I love her so much. I was 16 at the beginning/middle of 2007 when Care Bears Welcome To Care-A-Lot cartoon series came out and I loved watching it every Saturday on Kewelsopolis on CBS, along with CAKE TV, Horseland, Trollz, Strawberry Shortcake ( 2003 version, that's the version I grew up with), and many other cartoons.

My cousin had a Barbie Power Wheels Jeep and it was handed down to me, and let me tell you I *LOVED* that Jeep! She also had the airplane featured in the video, the tour bus from the last honorable mention, and *the* Dream House featured in the video, and they were all handed down to me. I had a barbie Corvette.. but barbie was an awful driver... kept going off cliffs.. luckily her crack surgical team was able to reattach her head.... until the accident was so bad that her head flew off (or may have been thrown) into the neighbor's back yard only to be eaten by a vermicious ka-nid.... to be honest... she might have survived that too, except the boy chihuahua violated poor barbie's head.... i still cant unsee that..😮

The Townhouse was the dream house I remember! When you were a kid it seemed so tall and it an elevator that worked! I had the country house. Not nearly as grand but I appreciated it. I had the camper too. We played with that till it fell apart.

Didn't own, but the 1990 Corvette reigns supreme 2. I *so* wanted that HM: Had the brunette Totally Hair, got the blonde in adulthood, and owned a Black and White Glitter Hair 1. I received and still proudly own the Fold n Fun house, but the 1990 Magical Mansion was a marvel. I begged my grandparents for the Barbie Mansion with elevator one Christmas. I got the Barbie Bachelor Pad. It opened up to 3 rooms, bedroom, living room and kitchen. It could fold up i to itself and had a handle on top. While I was really disappointed, it was very convenient to take over to friends’ houses with dolls, clothes and furniture inside.

I do remember that the Barbie Folding Pretty House was available around the same time as the Deluxe Dreamhouse, but I asked for the Folding Pretty House because I had an infant sister and there were less choking parts (true story). I was being the conscientious big sister at 6 years old. Now I realize I left my toddler brother out of the choking hazard equation, hahaha. I had almost every Barbie thing imaginable, but never really played with them, so my parents sold them off. The only thing that upset me was losing my ultra hot pink corvette cuz honestly I was more into cars than dolls growing up so that was a bummer. Originally I had so dime store non Barbie stuff. However I had real Barbies, the ultra hot pink corvette, pink motorbike, yellow camper, McDonald’s set, and actual yellow 1978 Barbie Dream House release. Went through a midlife crisis at 40 and bought some Barbies from my childhood back. As a kid though besides cars My Little Ponies and Care Bears were my favorite toys. 🤷🏼‍♀️
