In NZ the legal limit for learners is up to 600cc I'm pretty sure and my first bike is a 200cc KTM Duke but to bad I still don't have my license after one year of owning it

The duke was my driving school bike and with my height of 1,92 i could not use the rearbreak without Lifting my foot up from the footpeg. I was so uncomfortable i got back pain After my lessons from being in this Position. Now im riding a Mt 125 and its much more comfortable in my opinion. P.s. I dont wanna say its a Bad bike but i would not recommend it if youre above 1,80 m or something...

The aprillia rs4 is a very nice bike and if you can find it for £2000 good find because I couldn't but be aware the insurance for the aprillia is between £2000 and £2800 a year (depending on where you look) which I didnt realise until after I bought mine so be careful

If you want a more traditional bike look at the Zontes Tiger it's very well made mine is 3 years old and looks like new no rust no problems and very reliable commuter

MT does not do 85. It has a limiter in at 80, and thats down hill. Also the cbr does more than 70 on the flat.

I have a Yamaha WR125R and I get 90mpg for fuel, only downside is they aren't made anymore and fuel stops have to be timed perfectly as most stations have a minimum delivery

any recommended 2 stroke 125? the 4strokes are too slow at 125 and im looking for something (relatively) quick. in my town there’s a few dt125 2t supermotos and they’re really quick (and loud, they sound awesome) but they’re kinda hard to find in good quality

@@charlie_5282 because they are really underpowered and massively over priced, you can get a decent modern ish big 4 bike for less than a grand, sell it at the same price you bought it 2 years later and get something with a bit of power, thats what I'm doing, no 125 will be quick although tbf my ybr only does about 65 unless you're going down hill so some are a fair bit quicker than that and obviously 2 strokes are different kettle

I’ve got a 2013 cbf125 and have had 80mph, fitted with a straight through pipe and a 360 spark plug, and goes like it is on steroids. Quite happily sits at 70mph all day long. When I first got it, it wouldn’t budge over 55mph with stock exhaust and plug, but, once I put a straight through pipe and 360 plug in, it now goes like a bloody rocket, I shit you not. Oh, and I use a full synthetic engine oil which also makes a difference, they tell you not to use a full synthetic oil as it will give you clutch slip, total bollocks! Been using this kind of oil for two years now, and the bike has never been better, it runs cooler and smoother.

I had a yzf r125 that I used to travel 80 miles every 2/3 months and it was fine! But comfort is something you should think about mate. It's very annoying after 30 miles when your arms and back get achy.

I would say you probably don't want a 125 for long distances constantly. Every now and then is fine but not for long distances all the time

Stay away from ktm 125s made in India and you can tell the difference in quality between the bigger bikes that are made in Austria 2010 dukes had an issues with the wiring loom rubbing on the headstock ktm new this and would replace under warranty but that should have been a recall
