Your number one is arguably the year's best, half of your list deserves the recognition, the other half I don't care to see. Del Toro's Pinocchio is wonderful, but so is Benigni's and I personally enjoyed the Disney one, if you forgive two scenes. I tear up on all of them.

Loved GDT's Pinocchio. And yes, All Quiet on the Western Front is the best Netflix movie of the year. I'm glad it got shortlisted for so many categories in the Oscars. Hopefully, it all translates to actual deserving nominations. Could it crack the Best Picture Oscar Top 10? Could it edge-out all others in the International category? Can't wait to see...

I gotta be honest austin I dont watch most of netflix's films but heres what I get for filtering out my 2022 ranked list for netflix: (Im so glad you also have All Quiet on the Western Front on top!) 1 All Quiet on the Western Front 2 Bardo False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths 3 White Noise 4 Gangubai Kathiawadi 5 Glass Onion 6 GDT's Pinocchio 7 The Good Nurse 8 Blonde 9 Emily the Criminal 10 Bullet Train But seriously, "All Quiet" is like number 3 on my 2022 list, BARDO is number 12 and the rest are above 40+ so this is a kind of silly list for me... well rankings always are.

I started and stopped a lot and some things I haven't seen at all (e.g. Bardo and Pinocchio are still on my to watch list); so my viewing is very incomplete and I can only muster a list of 5 (if I add docs and specials). 1-5: Is that Black Enough For You?!?, Hustle, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, Jennifer Lopez: Halftime, and The Good Nurse. Lukewarm on 5, enjoyed 3 and 4, and really liked 1 and 2.

All Quiet on the Western Front is such a great film, and honestly to all the source materialist's out there I don't care if some of the movie doesn't follow the book and some of it does. It was an adaptation of the book, doesn't mean it has to follow every single thing. If you love the original more that's fine, but this new version to me was much more powerful and emotional seeing both sides of the war, the way it went was heartbreaking. For me it should absolutely win best international film. Get revenge for 1917 as well lol!! Just kidding I didn't mind when 1917 lost but wanted it to win so badly.

Where is Enola Holmes ? I thought that was the best Netflix movie of the year ? And Luckiest Girl Alive. Then there was the movie with Queen Latifah End of Road. And the Good Nurse. And Curse of Bridge Hollow. The Day Shift was also quite good. I mean yes these are not classics but decent one time watch.

I'm sorry, but Enola Holmes was so childish, it took a serious theme and made it a cringe fest. Especially, when a character has to explain what is happening to the audience is such lazy movie making. I think only the actors were a massive plus in it

4:55 I too did not care for the first 15 minutes, but for a completely different reason. I don’t think it was a good idea to include real life 2020 references(COVID, masks, among us, etc…) in the film as that will date it and make it age TERRIBLE

India has produced so many great films since ages like gangs of wasseypur haider ugly jallikattu court etc etc. It's sad to see due to European biasness in Hollywood they don't get recognition they deserve. Hollywood needs to come out of biased system of putting European films on pedestal and ignoring films from subcontinent. High time every industry should be treated equally. Hollywood has been ignoring great cinema from other parts of world except europe.Lunana was a great example when bhutan got nominated last year. Let's appreciate more Asian people Asian cinema subcontinent
