Saw Soul yesterday and out of the movies I’ve seen it’s easily the best I’ve seen so far. It was so emotionally moving and I think it’s the strongest Pixar movie thematically

Could this be the year where Pixar finally wins Best Picture?? With Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Wall-e, Up, Toy Story 3, Inside Out, Coco, and Toy Story 4 all being snubbed, could Soul, Pixar's most mature and inspiring movie in years get nominated or even win Best Picture?? I SURE HOPE SO because this movie is freakin fantastic! The beginning is well paced, the middle is kind of slow and goofy but get's really thematic towards the 3rd and 4th act. What a Masterpiece!

You can’t judge a movie review video by its backround. Great job Austin. All of these movies are right up my alley, but sad to say I’ve only seen one. I used to go to the movies every Saturday Afternoon, plus rent, maybe six or seven from Redbox. Now Netflix is my gatekeeper. So by default, Trial of the Chicago Seven is my favorite from this list. I’ve hardly seen any new releases this year, but I feel genuinely blessed to have seen Saint Maud twice in cinemas. Don’t get me wrong, I love A24 horror (even though technically it’s not an A24 movie here in the UK) much more than the average person. But I don’t remember the last time I was this horrified and entranced by a film. It’s one that I needed to rewatch and then we went into a second national lockdown, so I didn’t get to watch it again, but I’ve been so obsessed by it since, and I need to watch it again! You can imagine it has quickly become one of my favourite films of all time. It shook me to my very core, so I cannot WAIT for it to come out in the US and to hear your thoughts, Austin! Sorry for the waffle, I’m very passionate about this film 😂

I can justify going to the theater to watch a movie I feel I won't like, cause it means going out and having popcorn...your letterboxd has been a great help in deciding what I give a shot to :)
