Absolutely. I read the books so many years ago, and one detail I remember was after he took Claire to the stones he cried. So when I saw that tear, I was so glad they didn't omit that from the series.

My two favorite moments not mentioned are the two times Jamie brought Claire to Craigh Na Dun. The first time when she wanted to go back to Frank but eventually decides to stay with Jamie and the second time right before The Battle of Culloden when he makes her go through the stones so she and Brianna(in utero) would be safe. 💗😭

I completely agree! The entire relationship that is shown is so endearing. They should have left the intimate scenes with Roger and Brianna completely out. Those scenes were uncomfortable to watch they were so clumsy and lacking in chemistry.

Another wonderful moment, when Jamie and Claire's ship is overturned during the storm and Jamie is shown swimming and kisses/breathes for Claire underwater. And later we see the camera pan up to the eye of hurricane (3X13), chills every time.

For me, the Dead Baby scene was the most emotionally gut-wrenching performance I’ve ever watched. The grief of Claire (portrayed by Balfe) while she lovingly held her still born infant son (as would be typical of any new mother with her baby), yet speaking to him as if in an-out of-body trance, left me sobbing... hard. Balfe’s depiction of her character’s abject sense of grief was totally different from any grief I’d ever experienced or even imagined. I’ll never forget this scene!

Oh Honey, that slow strip on the wedding night is more sensual than any actual "doing the deed" could be. And I think the most significant scene of the whole (as of now) five years is when Jamie sends her back to her time. That goodbye scene just kills me.

All of these scenes are so well done. I cried a lot when Ian had to say goodbye. I also cried when Brianna finally met her father. I cried when Murtagh died. I cried so much when Jamie sent Claire through the stones. I shed tears when she finally came back to Jamie. I cried when she yelled back at Brianna, "....was a lot more than fucking, he was the love of my life!".

Oh, if you are ever in a mood to ugly cry, you must watch the Faith episode. Amazing cry when Jamie takes her to the stones, and she decides to stay with him. The second time he takes her and they do that dance to put her hand on the stone. Total heart break!!!

I totally agree about the Faith episode. From start to finish, Catriona Balfe just nails it, and she was ROBBED of an Emmy that year. It's the most impressive bit of work I've ever seen by an actress; she's pitch perfect. It takes serious courage for me to watch because I know how crap I'll feel afterward, but she's just so damn good.

The Murtaugh and Jamie reunion should not have been an honorable mention, it’s one of my favorites. But I understand the list has so many great moments, but this one should have been among them including Murtaugh’s death. I love how central Murtaugh was to the story and how he is actually the person that brings Claire into the fold and making the love story happen, it’s significant that Jamie’s godfather was the one to bring her in.

Sophie Skelton is a nice girl, but Richard Rankin is a bit off. He is also very creepy towards Sophie during public appearances and she clearly isn't keen on him. This harms their on-screen chemistry. If you don't believe me, watch their interviews together. She is so uncomfortable around him

My favorite episode in the series has always been season 1 episode 9. I love that it's from Jamie's point of view and it shows their first real fight as a couple. They sort of come to an understanding of one another and respect each others boundaries while Claire also has to realize what time shes living in and cant go about life as if she was in the 1940's. I dont know, but that episode really made their relationship solid in my opinion and I definitely felt like they were more than physically compatible.

I love the scene in Season 2 episode 1 when Claire is getting off the plane in Boston and Frank says one more step and puts his hand out and you see his hand, then you see Jamie's hand and then Claire reaches out and takes Jamie's hand! I have watched that scene so many times and I love it so much! Loved all the moments mentioned too and many others. My favorite show ever!

I haven't read the books yet and had zero idea what I was getting into when I started watching the series, so for me that episode was such brilliant foreshadowing. Up until Faith was born I was so invested in trying to figure out if maybe there'd been some glitch in the stones that somehow put Claire in both timelines at once. Then everything clicked and I loved that I was able to immediately figure out Claire was pregnant with Bree when she got seasick.

I watched the movie "211" she was in and she's the exact same monotone, lacking in genuine emotion character in that movie that she is in Outlander. If I fast forward through all of her scenes it makes the show so much better. It's one thing to show a temper, but she consistently is mad at the wrong things and takes no responsibility for all the wrongs she does herself.

When Jamie wanted to die and asked claire, how can you have me like this... and claire says I will have you anyway that I can.. ALWAYS! Every jaime and claire fight is also good. When jaime says, you’re tearing my guts out claire... or I’ll do far worse than lie to keep you... you’re a woman like no other... but you’re still a woman... each time claire slaps him 😂

Too many Branna and Roger moments. They’re an awful couple so I have no idea why they’re being hyped up on this list. They’ll never compare to Jamie and Claire even if the show is trying to force the comparisons.

Sounds sad, but my favorite moment is when Frank is at the stones and can hear her calling to him as she's running to them only to get caught by the red coats. Not a happy scene but it touches me cause people like to demonize Frank because he's the same actor as Black-Jack Randall and can't differentiate the two as separate characters.

I like that the show chose to show Frank in a more sympathetic way, even though were invested in Claire with Jamie, I couldn’t help but feel heartbroken for Frank in that scene. I also love the Frank and Claire music theme, which probably contributes to it.

Sorry, but nothing tops the scene where Brianna meets Jamie. It's basically the culmination of the whole series: everything has been building up to this. We see here the full implications of the main idea behind "Outlander" - that it is possible to move between two time periods that exist in parallel - played out through the emotion of the long-lost father-daughter reunion. The scene is even more poignant, because it comes right after the horror of the rape scene. And the emotional reunion is extended through Brianna's reunion with Claire, which occurs immediately afterwards. You can't beat it.
