Do you think that any of these are as good as forza horizon. I have to give up on the Xbox to many problems with it. I would like to give the PS5 slim a try seems to be doing much better than the Xbox.

There are some great games on ps5 but as someone who grew up on Xbox you definitely won't regret the switch but you will miss forza and halo

In my own opinion no other car game touches forza but some would disagree motorfest is cool but the cars handle kinda weird where forza cars feel good

Are they good to play with a hand controller or do you need the 'extras' to enjoy the game. I`m after a racing game without having to buy wheels, VRs etc.

Without mentioning the most realistic competitive sim it's a joke. Assetto Corsa competizione hands down as the most serious choice for real driving. All others on PS5 are partially/full arcade, not a sim.
