Great review. I lived in BG for college a few decades ago. I now live an hour away but don't have reason to visit anymore. Went to BG recently and hardly recognized the place. Thanks for all the great tips. I think I'll be visiting more often now!

I love Greek food and went to Anna's Greek on State Street. Physically, it's amazing, used to be a church. Still has stained glass windows. I found the Greek food to be disappointing, though. Garcia's is great! They also have a downtown location near SkyPac. My companion and I had an excellent lunch at 30 Bird! We'll definitely go back. And I definitely got to try the Split Tree BBQ. Thank you !

thanks for mentioning Split Tree BBQ… My husband is the cook there. And he is good at what he does. The food is amazing… and the newest owner has upped their dessert menu & made this restaurant even more inviting.

oh, and you were right about Toro & Novo Dolce having the same owner. His name is. Saśa Mandrapa. I’ve known him & his lovely wife since they first came to Bowling Green. Since then he has opened those two restaurants & Pub By Novo, Speeza, The Bistro & Burger & Bowl. I can’t speak highly enough of him or his restaurants. He is amazing at what he does.
