yup.......this guy is an amp expert an never heard of blaupunkt?......lol......they are no longer high end but a good buy for the money now..... i just brought a 1704 model for 60.00 for my vette and its ok.......i am still messing with the settings on the radio and amp....things are much more complicated than they were 35 years ago when i was a kid!

Blaupunkt(BlueDot in German) was factory equipment in Porsche/Volkswagen/Audi, etc. from the 70-80's and some later years, but no longer made in Germany, but over seas like Everything else...They were known well and considered very high end German audio, just as Alpine was well known as Lamborghini's factory equipment was for many years. Cobalt by Orion is their entry level tier, then Xttreme(also k own as XTR) and then HCCA(formerly Intense(NT). Planet Audio/BOSS/SSL(Soundstorm Laboratories) are 1 company out of Lunar Court, California and they all follow the same criteria in the lines, Big Bang is PlanetAudio's top of the lines premium(I was a dealer for years in Maine) known for their 5 year warranty! Kenwood and JVC are same company now merged a few years ago! SKAR Audio is it's own brand sold out of Florida, they are similar to Sundown but not all models equal each other, competition markets!

I had that Crunch amplifier and its ok especially for the cost. However, because I can't afford Rockford fosgate I have a Taramps 800x4. This amp was $139.99 direct from Brazil. It is loud. It makes its ratings. If I had my choice though I would get Rockford fosgate punch amplifiers. I saw one about a month ago that was about 20 years old and still looked and performed like new.

In the 80's, Blaupunct was the top of the line car stereo equipment, how could you not have even heard of them? They were the "Rolls Royce" and every guy with a muscle car owned one, (including yours truly in my '77 Z28). Unless they have wildly decreased in quality, Blaupunct was the best, no other even compared.

@@ginogomez5401 it's like comparing Porsches to Lamborghini.. one made a handful of specialized cars the other where kind of mass producing high end and invented a few standards. Blaupunkt for example made the first vhf car radio with a kind of station memory. It the first integrated Navi in a car audio in Europe.

Hey Mike, greetings from Florida! I love music and I'm trying to upgrade my sound system on my ford f150 for a clean and quality sound system I've been doing a research for over a month now on speakers and stuff, I think I've watched every single video of yours about comparison and reviews and I'm still having a really hard time to decide what speakers to get for a complete round up in my truck, I do everything my self I've done all the mods on my truck my self with passion and I love it, but I really need your help Mike please what do you recommend for me, I'm trying to keep the price reasonable since it's really hard to make money and I don't want to be disappointed again with my choices, I've just ordered a recoil class D 4ch amp 2ohm-4ohm stable with 300rms at 2ohm x 4 and 210 rms at 4ohm x4 noise ratio 85db and frequency 15hz - 25khz and trying to find the best affordable speakers that would complete my set up. I'm going to do a sound deadinng on all doors as well, I recently bout a Polk Audio amp(wich I'm returning tomorrow due to overheating) to replace it with the recoil amp above👆 Currently the Polk Audio is running my jbl GTO939 6x9 Coaxial 100w rms 300w peak on the front and the jbl GTO629 6.5 2way Coaxial 60w rms 180w peak on the rear, also a different amp for my 2x12" mtx subs, Im using aftermarket android tesla style head unit. I added a line out converter lci7 then connect the 2 amps, but I feel a little incomplete, I bought the gbl gto tweeters you recommended in one video aslo bought the BZRK tweeters because they look nice as well, haven't installed them yet because the ohm doesn't add up, can you please recommend me something to complete a good sound, I'm thinking to go with 2 way component speakers and trying to decide for a good midrange speakers for rear since I have the tweeters, I'm even willing to add 2 more 5 inch speakers and modify the rear doors if necessary! You have a lot of experience what should I get for the new amp that I got! I would really appreciate you bro... I bought that SSL amp for $5.00 from somebody after it didn't work brand new out of the box. I removed the back cover to find it's amplifier IC's had no insulators between them and the chassis. (OEM car stereos generally use amp IC's, rather than discreet components in the circuit) Basically, it's a car radio inside of an amplifier chassis.

New vid for me. I had that Boss amp. Someone gave it to me. I tested it against an Alpine power pack. The sound quality was horrible. I don't believe it put anywhere near it's rated power. I have Rockford amps, and they sound terrific

I had the hifonix amp. It was really loud but it overheated and cut out. I ended up sending it back and replaced it.

I ended up with the blaupunkt. It overheats too after a while. It takes longer to overheat or I keep the volume down more. I don't know if I ever tried the hifonix at lower volumes.

Best selling means people who that particular amount of money to spend That does not reflect their value When looking at 4 channels the Slope amd S/N ratio is what you are looking for. RMS watts are almost irrelevant because the technology has improved to the point where every one almost pushes thier numbers It’s the QUALITY that sets them apart Look at the JL Rd400/4 specs and the Kenwood Excelon 400/4 specs see why their amps run $380 fora reason!!!! Most people have no clue about true SQ. It’s still SPL to them. Best sounding for cheap is NVX then CT

many years ago blaupunkt made a monster 2 and 4 channel amp that was the best and were about 200 dollars in 1998and they built like tanks mine was driving a idq 12 sub and my trunk leaked in my 7 series bmw soaked the amp and i took it out of the car put it on my patio for about a week and let it dry out then put it back in car and it worked like brand new!!, i was told that the actual engineer of those amps later became the zapco people then they left blaupunkt and rest is history , my advise to all dont judge and amp just by name judge by your ears wont lie lol!!! and longevity and only use 4 channel amps for interior cabin 2 or mono for subs and you will always bet best results if wiring is done safely and correctly!!!

Depends on how much money you have to spend on an amplifier. Rockford fosgate punch 500.2 is awesome although expensive. I would get a Taramps DS400x4 or DS800x4. I paid $140 for my DS800x4. I hooked it up to a computer to test it.. Bridged into 2 channels@2ohms it done 568 watts on one channel and 552 watts on the other. For $140 thats pretty damn good.

The wires for the Rockford Fosgate amp are just high level inputs. For most people it really isn’t going to be a big deal if you lose them, unless you don’t know how to hook up an rca.

My factory premium audio in my 2009.1 Pontiac G8 GT (Holden Commodore VE) is Blaupunkt. 1000% better than the factory Bose in my truck, and the factory Monsoon in my Trans Ams. I replaced the door speakers with some top tier Polk components, and it sounds incredible off of the stock headunit and amp. I'm thinking I might need to give one of those Blaupunkt amps a try in my truck. The bose is pretty terrible lol

Ts 400 taramps is not bad for small speakers . The 1 thing I hate is there is only 3 channels for front 3 for front because they share a common ground which is to many wires in 1 terminal also if your bridging you speakers now you have way to many wires to fit without some tomfoolery
