For me, the best state should be peaceful, safe to live and the less crime in the US, diverse in all aspects, not extremely boring to live, economy stable, lots of job opportunity, affordable to live, friendly, educated drivers, best in education, cleanest and less pollution. 🥰

As a Floridian, I question the entire ranking system. Not only do I think Florida should not be number one, I don't think it should be on the list. If Florida is number 1, I would hate to live in number 10 or number 30.

The rankings on this site definitely are different from the rankings on others. I wouldn’t think Florida was number one by a longshot. The politics in the state are extremely corrupt and getting worse.

I look at new England as a whole state, making up by adding up six smaller states in the northeast. Comparing with the size of state like California, Texas, Florida . So as a whole new England are at the top of the list.

I moved to MA 30 years ago and still love it. I live in a small, rustic town and can get to Boston in an hour and change. Near me, it's woods, farms, with kayaking, hiking, fishing, skiing, cycling, whatever I could want nearby. I can get to the mtns of VT and NH, and the beaches of Maine and Cape Cod. Unemployment is very low, my kids are getting a great education, and the police department is mostly excited about their dog per Facebook. I personally can't imagine anyone saying this kind of life is bad. well, there is a lack of takeout options...

FL is full don’t come here it’s a terrible housing market people are losing their homes due to the city buying land and building more old retirement buildings and incredibly expensive rent where locals who have lived here forever have to move out. As a Floridian who’s lived here all her life just trust me it’s terrible living here.
