ali walsh Like I said, Villanelle is very literal. Gabriel told her “I wish I died in the car with everyone else” and how he doesn’t want to live looking like that. Villanelle thought killing him would put him out of his misery. The “getting Eve’s attention” part was more like an afterthought.

Episode 1 season 1scene 1, when she smiled at that little girl in the restaurant and then tipped the ice-cream bowl on her when she walked out - classic. That right there was her character in motion. Perfect intro

My favorite moment is when she yells “boring” in the museum lol. I also really love when she kills the guy in the red light district in Amsterdam, I thought that was a really interesting scene and I honestly don’t know why. Her scenes with Konstantin’s daughter are really good, too. It was fun to see Villanelle with an annoying child because she gets frustrated super easily lmao

First season episode 2 ("I'll deal with him later!") had an incredibly creepy line that let you know everything about her in just one sentence. A man was begging for his life and asked her why she was doing this and she smiled & merely said "I have absolutely no idea.". Still get chills when I watch that scene.

Just seen this. Villanelle is great character and all the movie clips were great. Jodie's switch of moment of character does make Villanelle very charming. Villanelle is definitely a sweet assassin. Villanelle and Jodie normally gets into the heads of her victims. Villanelle knows what buttons to push and press except Eve. Eve is prey she cannot devour so easily.

I think you may have misinterpreted Villanelle in the scene with Gabriel, the boy in the hospital. You took her attitude toward the boy as apathetic and manipulative, when I saw it as helpful and motivating. The last thing anyone wants is to be pitied and patronized. Villanelle chose to act as she did to help the boy. Before she killed him he even told her that he wished he had died in the crash too. Our Heroine Villanelle kindly put the kid out of his misery. You can say I misinterpeted this as well, but I am happy thinking of her as an anti-hero, rather than a monster.

Off topic, but I was lucky enough to see it ‘cold’, meaning that I knew nothing about this series, which opened with Villanelle talking to a little girl in an ice cream shop. Suffice it to say that when she casually slammed a child’s ice cream parfait onto her clothing, as she left, I was texting my friends with, ‘this is for US!’ Thanks for all of the great memories!❤️
