This sort of thing is our first clue about how carefully stage managed all the messaging is. With the vast breadth of the English language behind them why do these professional speakers always say exactly the same thing over and over and over. On every channel. On every topic

Colin McRae is one of the few WRC drivers to go down as a true legend, and the embodiment of "When in doubt, flat out." RIP and may he and ken block be racing each other on the great dirt track in the sky

Atleast number 1 does really stand above the others 😱😅 incredible they survived 180kmh off nose dive into the ground. The roll of latvala was scary 2 it kept rolling

I can picture myself driving all sorts of race cars. Ovals, road courses, everything but rally. I don't have any desire to do this sport. Absolutely terrifying. These drivers deserve the utmost respect.

I'm not sure who is more crazy.. The "co-driver" (navigator = passenger) or the fans they let right up by the track with barriers of their own choosing! Either way, thanks for the re-kitting videos!

Always worth remembering: An extensive rollover might look violent, but it's preferable to a crash that brings the car to a dead stop, because the rolling and bumping eats up energy that thus doesn't get transferred to the passengers.

Makinen's crash was extra dramatic because of that miraculous hop over a spectator. It was truly miraculous because it was rolling, then it went higher over his head just as if the guys guardian angel pulled the Subaru up from the heavens to avoid him. I think Tommi was very, very shaken afterwords.

I'll never forget Francois Delecour's crash in Australia in 2002, where he went straight into a tree at high speed and it launched the engine out of the car upon impact. Luckily the driver and codriver survived.

Seeing Jari Matti - apologies for the spelling, looking like he only had small bruises to his face thinking that he was to those who didn't see the crash realise just how lucky he is to not be more seriously injured, the safety of these machines is incredible. Thank God he was ok!

Nothing will ever top Markko Martin in Argentina 2004. Not much of the crash was captured on video besides hitting the rock at high speed from the onboard, but the aftermath of what is basicly reduced to half a car still amazes me to this day that both occupants got out relativly unscathed...

​@@marekkuran4956What if both of them had not come out of the car on time? The car was drowning in water, seatbelts, roll cage, it takes time for the brain to recover. They took quick action otherwise both of them would have drowned as the water was very deep.

There has been many enormous crashes - just to limit to 10 it’s not the tribute to the engineers and the development in the security and safety in the incredible sports! Colin’s crazy hinkelstone crash 2004 shows massiv deformation in the crashcage he survived more by luck than by strength of his cage

If you are a spectator, look at #2 and remember to never watch the race from the outside of a turn! If you can, be uphill and on the inside of the turn.

There were a lot worse accidents in rally, usually fatal. Last one I know being in Croatia during test stage. These here were "worst that ended well".
