Gunslinger, the GREAT Avalon Hill game. Decathlon, and Superstar Baseball, both by Sports Illustrated games. Coliseum. Gotta add Coliseum. And Ambush!, Tokyo Express, and Up Front. These are seriously old school.

Great video. I still have my copy of Battlecars (it really opened my eyes to boardgames) and also have the "Battlebikes"expansion. If they ever reprint it I hope they will include the expansion. BTW: White Dwarf magazine also came up with a "Battlechairs" mod (basically, injured warriors would fight in armoured wheelchairs) but it was way less fun than Battlecars.

Advanced Space Crusade needs a reprint and a modernizing/streamlining of the rules. I would also say that original Space Hulk with its expansions needs a reprint. So much crunchy coolness that the newer versions lost out on.

I'm thankful I bought my copy the moment it came out. Add to that the big Galaxy in Flames expansion with the Tyranids, Imperial Guard, Tau and Necrons I picked up a few months ago. Its amazing! I'm not sure what IP could offer a similar base setting. I had hoped Mantic Games might take it on with their Warpath universe. Maybe My Little Pony! 😉

I wonder if you could pull a matrix version of BSG where instead of two ships you had one board within the matrix fighting agents and one ship in the real world fighting the sentinels. Each round would pick one of these world and have strategy checks based on a unique mission (take neo to the oracle, defend zion, fight agent smith, etc)

The few I think need a reprint are: Infinite City (an awesome "screw your neighbor" hour long type of game), Big Trouble in Little China - The Game (see the movie, play in the movie! Beautiful board!), The Republic of Rome (it was reprinted once by Valley Games, but then they went belly up), and the old Up Front game from the 1980s (a kickass tactical war game that is totally run with cards. There was an awful failed attempt to reprint it a dozen years ago, and you can get a print on demand version from WarGameVault, but it needs a full reprint with updated graphics)

Great list. Really pleased to see Forbidden Stars make another appearance - stellar game. I'm actually in the process of printing off the 4 fan expansion factions with a 3D printer that I've borrowed. Taking ages but it'll be so worth it. My suggestion is Dogs of War. It's sort of a worker placement/area control game but functions like a tug of war between houses. Designed by Paolo Mori and produced by CMON so you know it'll play as good as it looks. I feel they've really dropped the ball on the reprints as you rightly highlighted Ethnos. Also turns out we own 6 of the games on your list so say we're doing pretty well with that. My brother even has the Merlin's Company expansion, but we've never played it. Apparently it makes the game even harder and we feel it's tough enough as is with a decent traitor.

Break the Safe was one of the first games I was able to convince my son to play with my wife and I. We played a ridiculous amount of it. I think I still have my copy around here somewhere. So, retheme to Battlestar Galactica I always thought would be fun--and no one else would enjoy--would be to theme it after the reality show Below Decks, where you are crewing a super yacht and need to cater to the needs of your high class obnoxious guests without the boat breaking down or drama swelling so high that morale is destroyed. The traitor is a crew member who ends up becoming a drunken self-destructive wreck as the game goes along. Out of print game I'd love to see reprinted? The original Ambush! Maybe modernized a smidge with an app or something to make it a little faster.

Five tribes could use a reprint. $90 on the second hand market is too much for what the game Is but $35 retail is just right. I found it at a local game shop for $30 and brought it to the forefront for myself. Or war of the ring. 3rd edition with a cleaner rule set would be very welcome.

I think Renegade studios did reprint axis and allies anniversary edition. For myself, I would say Gears of War from Fantasy Flight. It is still one of my favorite co op games and captures the theme of the video game perfectly.

There are a few games from TMG's catalog that deserve someone to pick them up and reprint them. Exodus Fleet is at the top of that list. You can find it for $25 but still, someone should make a new edition with proper marketing and better overall graphic design. It's the best version of Puerto Rico you haven't played. Someone should beat Ryan Laukat with a stick for not reprinting Roam as well. I love Ryan but he gives his small box games zero love. Roam is a fantastic filler+ game that you can't find now for less than $80. So, no more sequels to Sleeping Gods or big narrative games, and give us strong, tight, mechanically sound little games. I'd say the same for Klondike Rush as well. ETHNOS DESERVES SIX NEW FACTIONS .... and Archegos Society isn't the same game AT ALL.

I understand people disliking Cthulhu, but it does have the benefit of being public domain. So no risk of loosing access to the IP, which caused the death of the original Battlestar Galactica. But they can always do a "nearly IP-X," like Nemesis-Aliens.

Dark Moon is supposed to be similar to Battlestar Galactica although shorter play time which should be a good thing otherwise you will manage to get it to the table a lot less... With the racing games I would say that ThunderRoad Vendetta could be a suitable (and fun) alternative. Would Ready, Set, Bet be an alternative to the cycling game? And The Rich and The Good could be an alternative for Panic on Wall Street? I've heard some people say Shadows Over Camelot isn't as good as people rate it although I've never played it and gave up on trying to find it for a reasonable price.

I think that the perfect retheme for BSG would be Orwell's 1984. I know it's not popular to use historical theme, especially ones that would concern snowflakes, but I would like to see Soviet Union and NKVD or Romania and Securitate used, because it would be perfect. Communist regimes are perfect for doing hidden traitor game as ordinary people were used to spy on general population as informants (I was born in Yugoslavia, we had UDBA as well doing that) There is a game called "The other side of the hill" that will soon be out and deals with the internal politicking during Nazi regime, but it seems that it doesn't have a hidden traitor element.

E.g in Yugoslavia, if you become affluent, secret service would hire you forcibly to play for them so you would have to juggle between appeasing them and doing your stuff trying not to get murdered in the process. They sometimes use misdemeanor charges to recruit people in different verticals to snoop on their collegaues. You never knew who was working for UDBA. That's what I call hidden traitor 😀

Don't know if that would be moral, but the game would be profoundly emotionally impactful and would probably capture the full paranoia feel and be educational at the same time.

All of those systems stop being cartoonishly evil after certain time and look vaguely similar like western democracies in the end - terror of bureaucracy. Forbidden Stars - i own it with one of the later expansions but I still want it available for others. The original Sheriff of Nottingham, better art. Ankh Morpork with the Discworld theme. 6 Siege - one of the best games i've ever played but one of the most mismanaged kickstarters.

@BoardGameBollocks FFG official no, but the designer put the planned expansions into the public domain and etsy did the rest. The first expansion is Galaxy in Flames which adds Tyranids, Imperial Guard, Necrons and Tau. The second is Darkest Dawn, I Believe which adds 4 chaos Marine factions. The quality of the etsy stuff blends perfectly with the original game too. Bloody expensive though. That said, its been worth every penny so far

I don't know if this is possible, but some sort of merger between Memoir '44 and ASL, leaning towards the rules lighter side. I love the simplicity of Memoir '44 and the detail (not the complexity) of ASL. ASL with minis is cool, but it's still too complex.

I want to reprint Of wiz war by fantasy flight games The game and its expansion were so cool Because you'd shuffle together different decks of schools of magic to create intreasting combos of cards that tied into each other With amazing art and minitures for the characters that were well worth the original price of the game Then, they announced a new edition of the game, and i got so excited And it was being done by steve jackson Games, and i got worried Then it got released, and i cried Because the people at steve jackson are all 70 year old boomers that hated all the innovation and art of the previous editions and literally just redid the original game from the 70s but with that shit art style that all steve jackson games have that to me look like somone stepped in dogshit and wiped it on a canvas They removed literally everything i liked and also charged more for it even though it came with a lot less than the version by fantasy flight
