The trap was my fave book of last year! The Silent Wife by Karin Slaughter was my fave thriller this year (but it is #10 in a series so 😅)

I've only read one Alice Feeney book (Rock Paper Scissors) but Beautiful Ugly sounds so interesting! My favourite book of 2024 was The Measure by Nicki Erlick 😁

​Oooh I've never thought to compare The Measure and The One but now I'm thinking about it they both have a lot of social commentary so if you like one then you could like the other! I love a concept book so I gave them both 5-stars 😁 The Measure feels a lot slower because it’s more literary fiction but I thought it was really interesting! Also made me feel a bit emotional which I wasn't expecting 🥹

Great video Michaela! My best book of 2025 might have been Fingersmith by Sarah Waters, or I also did a reread of I Let You Go by Clare Mackintosh - neither came out last year but both are exceptional!
