I honestly think the whole challenge mode honestly sounds quite interesting. Also it gives the fans another chance to see these older kof villians or other snk villians which is quite cool in my opinion. They honestly shouldn’t have done like this but yet they did. As for people complaining this mode messing with the lore and stuff it’s a tad silly. Because it’s not canonical it’s just a challenge mode to see if you can beat the opponent. But then again, people have different opinions and we can agreed to disagree. I’m not going to pick up the game, but I’m happy for those who want to play this game. Because of Verse from kof 14 died All the past dead characters came back to life .... even people from samurai shodown which takes place in the 1500 to 1800s . Guidel ,leona biologicial father Was hinted at , CYS are back , a boss from Samurai shodown was shown ,technically ronnet the wife of takuma sakazaki should be alive , rugal Bernstein was stated to have a deceased brother.

I honestly would want to see already existing playable characters turn into bosses. Like Kyo and IOri would be like their 99 secret battle where you could unlock NESTS Kyo and Classic Iori outfit respectively, or Wild Ambition Ryo with the Mr. Karate II or even Goddess/Princess Athena for Athena.

Dark Ash would be a pretty easy one to do. All you really need to do is buff his attacks, and change his clothes and fire effects black. Also, if they wanted to bring in a Classic Ash costume, this would be the perfect place to do it.

Characters with variations are the strongest bets that will make an appearance in the Boss Rush mode. Nightmare Geese, Kusanagi, Maki and Mr. Karate 2 immediately come to mind. You only need to add new skins and buffs to base Geese, Kyo, Chizuru and Ryo.

13:00 - Many KOF players knew that the best way is to get up close and personal and whip her like a sack of potatoes, and don't go too far or she'll waste you. That's the beauty of the SNK Boss Syndrome today. :D. The same with the Omega Rugal from Hell. Make him think that you're hitting him and he'll try to block your punches and kicks with his face, but it's dangerous considering how competent Rugal can be if you give him a chance to get stylistic.

As much BS he had as a boss, Serious Mr. Karate in SvC Chaos was one of the dopest SNK bosses IMO, and I was glad his theme was literally the only standout of the game's OST. I would really, REALLY love to see that version as a boss in XV or some future game. Honestly though, knowing Kuroko now thanks to this, he definitely is a runner up for me. Just seeing him mimicking the Haoh Shoukou Ken and the Maiden Masher (in a non canon game, but still) sold me in.

About the number 1 spot actually, I actually wanted a character similar to Mokujin from Tekken where he can copy another fighter entirely or use the same idea Rugal had before KoF was implemented (one famous move of an SNK character), because I'm mostly a lore nerd Plus, it would be funny if Kuroko takes the Mokujin route and have some... adjustments/references to old characters (a.k.a. using the flesh arm and Rasen from old K9999 and Nameless as opposed to entirely copying Krohnen's bionic arm and/or copying the stance and idle animations of both of them, and a new climax on the air that combines both pre-Krohnen characters) A man can dream, but it's fun because I have that kind of OC perfect for KoF lol

I think if the game is considered successful by SNK's measure, we'll end up getting more unique bosses. As of right now, I can see Riot of the Blood Iori and Leona being easy adds due to being more or less reusable assets. Same with Nightmare Geese and maybe Classic Billy Kane and Yamazaki. I do feel like next KoF will bring back Krauser with Hein and Luong on a team.

What if Chizuru died instead of Maki? Knowing Maki and her strength, she would make sure to tame Kyo and Iori and their rivalry.

That would be a very challenging mode indeed. I am a super fan of the Orochi storyline and you know what I would love to see? The heavenly kings succeed. We all remember Chris was Orochi's plan B. Personally I would like to see a very unorthodox boss, Allen O'Neil the immortal soldier and recurring boss from Metal Slug series, Its sound but hear me our Allen is a warrior who enjoy fighting and one of the most famous villains of Metal Slug and he might have a score to settle with the Ikari Warriors, also any weapon is allowed in KOF so he wouldnt hesitate to use his heavy heavy machine gun and grenades, also we need Metal Slug for KOF anyway

Leona though, they'll pretty much be Copy Pasted from their Original Counterparts like with the same Moves and reused Animations with slightly New Tweaks etc, While being as Bosses might be the Good Solution, but the real Question is will they're Orochi Forms be part as their "EX's" or a Wasted Character Slot, that's the Problem right there I'm talking about.

They could just be skins or something. I think like reusing normal characters and just upgrading them as bosses for like extra stages or skins is a good idea, imo. That way it can be more than just future DLC characters.

Man I been asking to see over igniz, zero and krizalid (and Rugal but dream came through) since 2002um. Love those bosses. They're so dope. And krauser and Mr big. I was saying what if they brought the all bosses team but instead of geese (since he's already confirmed) Rugal was the leader of the boss team. Well now we have Rugal coming lol. I still would love to see krauser make a return man. His mightier than thou attitude and grappler mixed zoner wrestler style was crazy. (And don't forget the music of his stage 😂. *Sigh* oh and also agree with Mizuchi's return too....awesome list. 🤦🏾‍♂️Jeez forgot about orochi Leona and Iori of course lol

I'd love it if Shingo was added to the Boss Challenge Mode, as a nod to his original outing where interrupts the tournament as a single entry. However, make him actually ridiculous. Give his rekas full armour, give his DP priority over supers, make meterless Shingo Kick do a ground bounce like Rock's EX TOP attack, and if you wanna go CRAZY, give him flame effects. He would also work well with the format of Ω Rugal's inclusion; Beat Graduate Shingo and you get a new arrangement of Still Green, and make his alternate outfits either his classic outfit or the tracksuit from the end of the Sacred Treasures Ending. Gimmegimmegimme.

This has to be the most creative thing I've seen so far regarding Shingo, and it includes the callback to older games (I recall 98 personally)? I approve. All it's missing is Shingo's old critical hit mechanic for that extra damage.

Mizuchi was exactly whom I was thinking that they could bring into KOF XV, along with the other Neo Geo Coliseum bosses. Jyazu, too. Mainly because he's _also_ a bastard to beat. He'd fit right in as well along with the rest.

I really like your idea of Krauser and Hein teaming up! I never noticed in Rugal's trailer that he doesn't use kaiser wave, so you pointing that out makes me think that there's a decent chance that he will come back. I hope you're right!

Good list, but there are so many other possibilities. O'neill from Metal Slug (or maybe even the tank? like in Maximum Impact), Shion, Neo Dio, and I personally really want another appearance from Jyazu.

The Boss Mode is a really interesthing addition to the game. The problem to SNK now is to choose the right boss to bring back, since it has to have a nerfed version to play just like Omega Rugal. Beside the original DLC, they must develope boss characters (How many for season?) So I guess that beside bringing new characters as bosses, trying to use characters that are from the beguining in the game is a good option. In that sense, Otoma Raga and Reverse are good options (the reward could be a nerfed version of them to play), and also Iori, Leona and Geese (their Orochi Versions and Nightmare Geese, thought in their case, I don't know what could be the reward: another new stage?). If we speak of bring back hellish final bosses, Goenitz, Igniz and Magaki are the right options. If we speak of powerful final bosses, Orochi is a must.

I love the ideas, although I'm "pessimist" about the boss challenge mode not because it's not amazing that it exists, but about the idea of having many characters and bosses. For the moment I only can see Maki and Orochi Leona/Iori (maybe New faces?) being part of it, and the main reason it's simple that they already exist in the game in one way or another, they don't have to make new characters from 0, and for me that's always going to be the priority. And Otoma=raga of course, I actually would love that because she kicks my ass lmao, so it'd be nice to see others experience that .

I think some good picks for this would be Orochi(either normal or Mizuchi), Goenitz(obviously), Otama=Raga just to give her some legitimacy, Wolfgang Krauser, and Orochi Leona and Iori as a two Phase Boss duo. I will say though, I would like the final team pack to be Team Outsiders: Verse, Re_Verse, and Otama=Raga. I think it would be interesting to play as balanced versions of these bosses, especially with their designs.

I think at least we will get all the bosses referred in Verse win quotes. -Rugal -Krizalid -Igniz -Orochi -Mizuki If we can get more than that, it would be great. Maybe even the Orochi team with their Orochi powers unleashed would be a boss challenge.
