I love Burnsy but everyone criticized Erik Karlsson the past few years when he was playing the kind of offensive game Burns has been playing this year saying he wasn't a D-man, this year he corrected that and absolutely dominated making the Sens a cup viable team, gotta say I hope Karlsson gets his third Norris

karlsson won just from points when he was a joke at defense why shouldnt burns?

Burns had a tremendous start to the season but cooled off towards the end, whereas Karlsson started playing at the caliber of McDavid and Crosby throughout the season, making every player on the ice better when they were on with him. Burns is a fantastic individual player especially when it comes to offense but doesn't quite control the play the way Karlsson did. Idk the voting happened before the playoffs so Burns is probably gonna take the Norris anyways.

karlsson is as prolific as burns but brent burns is just huge and can bring the offense. not very sure theres videos of karlsson being able to knock ovichkin and parise on their asses. karlsson is great though, if burns doesnt have a great year offensively and only has a good year he cant win it, its his size and offense that gets it for him this time. his numbers are all career numbers too and most goals bit a big margin.
