According to Annet Artan her co-writer of everytime, insists the song’s lyrics are not connected to the revelation in Britney’s candid new book, The Woman In Me, that she’d had an abortion over 20 years ago while dating Justin Timberlake. But then again, only britney knows what the song really all about..

That episode of Black Mirror was eerily close to what went on with Britney. It sends shivers down my spine tbh. Idk how anyone still calls her crazy knowing the context. If half of what was done to her was done to me, I really think I would have reacted in a much worse way than shaving my head or locking myself in a bathroom. It infuriates me knowing how hard her family pushed to try and break her, but at the same time, I feel in awe of her strength and ability NOT to completely break. She went through all this and never fell into actual addictions or self-harm, etc. Her most "concerning" behaviors recently are just dancing videos, nudes on Instagram, getting pulled over for speeding, etc. I'd say she's on a healing and self-discovery journey and doing very well for having endured 13+ years of trauma and basic human rights being restrictioned. Her best years and best Mom years were stolen from her. Of course she's posting nudes. She is doing whatever she wants to assert her independence. And without hurting herself or anyone else. People who say her videos are signs she is still unwell need to research mental wellness a bit. I don't see crazy when I see her content. I see someone dancing however she wants and then wanting to share that with her fans. I see someone using dance as a therapy tool instead of drugs. I see Britney doing what makes her happy. Dancing. How on earth would that be a sign that she's doing badly? 🤔

I'd always wondered why the maternity/motherhood moment in her "Everytime" music video - it didn't seem to be a logical match for a breakup song at the time. @@user-lo4lq6bc8e It may or may not have been. It's not like Britney was talking about her abortion back then. Songs can have multiple meanings to their writers. Sometimes when things are being written, we think it's this meaning, but looking back and knowing ourself better, we can see other meanings.
@veronicaadair9004

@user-lo4lq6bc8e You are certainly interesting. You claim in one sentence that she wrote lyrics and in another that she is not a songwriter. So, which is it? Neither of us are Britney. We have no clue what was going on in her head at the time. I think she is human with complex emotions and thoughts. I have inserted no meaning other than what could be. I have been around songwriters & writers my whole life. I have heard their thoughts about works they have done in the past, where they said that they now had multiple meanings in those songs. Because they knew themselves better. It's all part of being a human. But hey, you do you.

Back in 2000 when she released her song "Lucky", I was just in 6th grade and already adored Britney. However, my intuition told me that there seems to be something wrong with her with how Lucky was written, but I ignored it and thought it could be just her way of telling herself not to get all those fame in your head. Then a few months from that moment, I heard her song "Girl In The Mirror" in the radio, and that's when I knew right then that she was already crying for help.

Somehow "Lucky" seemed to be the saddest song for me, then when the video was released I thought that it was a bit odd but I just couldn't connect the dots. If there is one song by Britney that I hate in such a way that makes me pretend it doesn't exist, this song is definitely Chillin' With You, for OBVIOUS REASONS. And I go even further: I don't even think she wanted to record it with her sister back then. I just think she kinda had to (because of the conservatorship). Anyways, "Everytime" is the one that got a different meaning to me after her memoir was released.

JL is the worst because she publicly played the concerned sister while privately stabbing Britney in the back again and again and still continues to do so. There are a lot of reasons not to like the BJ album but for the most part, the songs are good. The only track I have only heard once and never listened to again was CWY the day I first listened to the album and that was that. There is a reason it is often voted as one of her worst songs constantly.

*This song, "Everytime", is soft, like a lullaby.* *Everyone thought it was about the end of the relationship between Britney and Justin. We thought it was how hurt she was by the end of the relationship, and by the betrayal that was exposed. The baby being born in the video clip, left a lot of people confused. However, we thought it was REBIRTH. A baby being born represents a new life (That's exactly what I interpreted). So we thought that was what it meant; Britney being reborn. Britney renewing herself in life. Taking a new direction. That's why (I thought) in the video clip, when she dies, the baby is born. I thought it meant rebirth.* *But not!* *After the book, after everything Britney Spears went through, after everything, now everything makes sense.* *This song is heavier and sadder than we thought.* *This song is for the son she never had in her arms, that JT didn't want, and that she is haunted to this day by the decision she made.* *Listening to this song now makes me want to cry. Now yes, this song makes sense. But not in a good way. And yes, in the saddest way imaginable. Poor Britney.*

I straight up burst into tears when I listened to "Lucky" after finishing the book. I've known the song by heart since I was 7-years-old so hearing the first note had me bawling. I was walking home at that moment and looked up at the stars and said, "Britney, I'm sorry!" because I was one of those people that fell for the scrutiny. Granted, I was a still a child when all of that was happening, but I still feel guilty about it.

I’m just truly so shocked with what i heard in that book. It’s nuts to think so many doctors, lawyers, judges, and people were involved with keeping her confined. I need to be able to see medical records and evidence allowing them to subject her to any of that. It legit sounds like it’s straight out of a psychological thriller. She wants us to believe that because she went along with it nobody questioned it and I don’t fully trust that.

As someone who suffers from manic depression as well, I may not be under a conservatorship, but I know about being heavily medicated and not feeling like you. I hope this brings her the peace she so rightfully deserves. I’m glad she still has a love and passion for music and dance, given all she’s went through. Everytime I always used to listen to that with a more superficial hurt, e.g. a break up, I don't know about Justin and her till a little while ago as I was 2 at the time of the release of this song, so I didn't feel any deep connection just thought it was a beautiful song, now my heart bleeds listening to this song, it makes me so emotional, as the pain of losing a child is incomprehensible and incomparable

When Britney released her book, she pretty much dropped a new album in our laps. This woman is just so amazingly strong and so really hope with all my heart that she knows that.

That poor woman doesn't even look the same. She was so beautiful. Drugs, stress, depression, alcohol, life have aged and damaged her. As much as it pains to even think of her passing... she will finally be free then.

So, why isn't "Work Bitch" on this list? The lyrics would need to be revamped though: "You want to see your kids? You want to shop something? You want to have an outing? You better work b*tch, you better work b*tch, you better work b*itch, you better work b*tch. Now get to work, b*tch." Inspired by Mr. Jamie Spears.

What makes the 2007 VMA Gimme More show even sadder, is that the rehearsals were great. Crisp. More heart.

Basically every song dated after the beginning of her conservatorship feels different to me. I was wondering why her music suddenly became more robotic in recent years, and now I can see that it's probably due to her kind of going through the motions.

A song that wasn’t mentioned on this list that I listened to differently in general is “Hold On Tight”. I heard a rumor on Twitter she allegedly wrote it about god or a savior visiting her in her dreams and guiding her through the difficulties of life(CSHIP), letting her know she’d be okay at the end of it all. If it is true that’s super Powerful.

Fun fact (or disturbing): Most of Britney's vocals in 'Chillin' with You' are actually sung by Myah Marie who was hired as background singer and demo recorder. But since Britney apparently was not interested in recording the song her team used Myah's demo vocals instead.

She wrote everytime and said "and this songs my sorry".... 😢 20 years and the pain of ending her child's life is still with her. Quick reminder ladies that no matter what the man in your life says or does... If he doesn't want his own baby leave him and go raise your child on your own! It might not be easy but there are plenty of programs to help and it will bring you a lifetime of joy to raise your child. Brittany and Justin were literally multi-millionaires with every thing at their disposal. They could have had nannies, housekeepers, chefs and everything they needed for a baby. But because of JUSTINS selfishness Britney is wtill dealing with the pain 20 years later and is finally able to talk about it. Don't do this to yourself. It will be the worst mistake you ever make. I almost made that mistake 14 years ago. Now my 13-year-old son is a light of my life.

Hey there!! Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman, makes me cry everytime I hear it but none more so for Britney Spears and the loss of my mother which will be one year tomorrow that my mum passed. I can relate so much to the song as I am now facing (and struggling) to find my path without my mother by my side. Britney is (and always will be) one of my favourite Pop stars, and no one will ever change my mind. People need to leave her alone, and let her be, she has been through a lot and now she needs people to leave her alone and let her live her life now.

Once this whole Free Britney thing started, I started to look at “I’m A Slave 4 U” veeeeery differently. It kinda even creeped me out, how back in the day it was such a hit song to dance to, and the only thing that float around by that time maybe were people discussing how the good girl went bad, some mothers complaining what kind of example Britney gives to youth, but today it seems so twisted… even sinister. A cry for help well wrapped into a musical blockbuster, whilst her family and producers puts her in that sex-appealing role, which has been a theme for years. It’s creepy to say the least.
