Great job Amanda. A brutal X-men moment for me was when the original Marauders attacked the Morlocks and Angel was brutally attacked where he lost his wings. 😢

Yep. That was the one that came to my mind also. Other notable gut-wrenchers were Storm being depowered by Agent Gyrich, Wolvie stabbing Rachel in the prologue to The Mutant Massacre, a What If story ( What If Phoenix had lived ) that results in all the X-Men being wiped out and Magneto killing Jean Grey ( her second "Death" ) Plenty of nastiness to pick over really.

Mutant Massacre was deeply brutal. And yes! Angel losing his wings anytime is horrifying. Extremely brutal for sure.

Man to me The Brutal X-Men Moments were when Magneto pulled out Wolverine's Adamantium Uranos pulling out Magneto's heart and when Storm was disfigured.

I think that the entire Fatal Attraction storyline was pretty brutal. Colossus leaves the Xmen and joins Magneto, Cable loosing Greymalking and Wolverine loosing his adamantium

This is also true. Fatal Attractions is just brutal in general. Also Xavier in his exo-suit. Not a brutal thing that happened per se, but definitely thing that happened lol Though Xavier nullifying Magneto was pretty brutal.

Nothing about Wolfsbane being kidnapped by Purifiers and starved, pumped full of drugs, then left to eat her own father? Rahne historically gets some of the worst treatment in the X-books!

Wolfsbane has had it rough. This is true. Though while she didn't deserve that trauma, her Dad kind of deserved to be seemingly eaten since he was a huge jerk to her for pretty much her whole life and tried to kill her more than once.

Actually, M-Day did kill several mutants, since some mutant powers were what kept some alive. Others were targeted by bigotry, which they could not defend themselves against because of M-Day. Even the writer of House of M has teenage Jean Grey outright confirming that Wanda killed people with M-Day.

This is true. There were a few deaths as a result of M-Day but at the same time, more lives were definitely lost during the Genoshan Massacre. Even if everyone affected had died during M-Day we'd have a death toll of around 1 million vs the 16 million we lost during the Genoshan Massacre. And I believe I've only ever seen estimates for the death toll of M-Day mentioned as in the hundreds. Not even the thousands. Don't get me wrong, M-Day was still brutal for mutantkind but I still think what happened to Genosha was worse.
