Celebrity apology steps: (1) Wait until people lose their minds over your actions. (2) Say sorry to everyone but the victim. (3) Hope it all blows over. (4) explain how your traumatic past eventually led to this incident and profit from the resulting sympathy. (5) promising to be better.

I will never forgive Will Smith for his disgraceful behavior at the 2022 Oscars. Chris Rock is one of my favorite comedians and I couldn’t bear to see him get slapped onstage just because he made a petty joke about Jada’s shaved head. Will should’ve just talked to Chris privately and politely asked him not to poke fun of Jada’s hair, but no, Will just had to go onstage and smack Chris in front of zillions of celebrities anticipating their awards. And I just gotta say, Will is a real animal for causing this drama. And what Will did to Chris still makes me angry and reluctant to look at Will the same way. Kudos to Chris for expressing his feelings about the slap and giving me something to laugh about. I’m on Chris’ side rather than Will’s.

The worst part of Logan’s video is that multiple KZbinrs who’ve gone there have said they were told in advance what to do if they saw a body, namely turn the camera off, go get someone who works at the park and do not upload the video. I don't know if I'm the only one who find Will Smith slap scandal sad. Perhaps I did not follow the news fully but my understanding is that Chris made an inappropriate joke about Smith's wife. If Smith did not slap him, today, we would be hearing about Chris Rock scandal on this video edit: I watched the video with the joke. I don't understand people. Admittedly, slapping/ hurting someone is not nice and should not be done but he don't deserve such a backlash. Chris Rock's joke was also very lame, stupid and childish. Why no one say anything about him?

A dishonorable mention would be Kyle Larson, his actions from Monza Madness 2020, only apologizing after he lost both his sponsors and his ride at Chip Ganassi Racing, changing his story during an interview with James Brown at CBS, and writing a now deleted essay for his website, where the only thing missing was a title of: “You Can Reinstate Me Now, NASCAR”

When Will Smith made the Fresh Prince he pretty much parodied *every* guetto black youth out there. Imagine if they all had the same lack of acceptance towards comedy and decided to get physical on him.

Here's the thing though, the jokes made in the Fresh Prince were funny. Chris Rock's joke was not🤷. Pretty sure people "laughed" just to make it seem that they were having a good time, but the "comedy" during that night was horrible. The hosts didn't tell any type of funny jokes, and seemed so desperate to make us laugh, that at the end of the day, only cringe came out of their mouths.
@humbertojimmy
@humbertojimmy Жыл бұрын
@@martinaguiluz4063 Well, "funny" is judged by us all and each one will have an opinion. The bottom line is that even if Chris' joke was the lamest possible it would still be a joke, *words* thrown into the air, infinitely less serious (or damaging) than a fist. What Chris said can be forgiven, what Will did cannot (and is a crime).

I don't see how it made things worse for Logan Paul if he's making that WWE money, competing at WrestleMania, has his own podcast and having his own product. You got people like Pewdiepie and Keemstar saying the hard R and they're still doing good for themselves. If anything there needs to be a list of those that got away with controversy and still making it big.

I’m watching this right now and I couldn’t make this up if I tried: In Louis C.K.’s segment, the narrator says Louis tried to, and then the video immediately cut to an ad saying “lease a 2023 Chevy Equinox”. Not to say his segment wasn’t serious, but that couldn’t have been planned any better.

Jimmy Carr did apologise in the right way. He kept working on 8 Out of 10 Cats and allowed himself to be completed mocked at by his fellow comedians. He didn't make a song or dance, or try to defend himself. Took it all with grace and is still working better than ever. He often jokes about it himself. For all wondering what Carr did: He didn't pay his taxes.

I (very) slightly feel for Will Smith. He was caught in an impossible position. His wife was mocked (tamely) but it's his wife and he's a black man and his wife is being dissed. But he's not really part of black culture anymore. She was comically dissed by another black man. On the world stage. He also has a major Hollywood career as a black man at the height of wokeness. So, what are the options: 1. Laugh it off and look like a punk who can't defend his wife, to the black community. 2. Laugh it off and look like a punk to your wife. 3. Don't laugh (too late!) and seem reasonable and save your career but suffer some shit from your wife for a few months/lifetime. 4. Laugh it off then see your wife's reaction and so double down on being "black" by beating down the motherfucker who called yo bitch a name! 5. Do nothing. You're already a multimillionaire superstar celebrity. What the fuck do you care? Sticks and stones. If she can't take a joke that's on her. 6. Laugh it off, see your wife is cross that you're not doing something and be manipulated by her to step up, recognise you do have a career and so instead of throwing a punch just throw a bitch slap and hurl some colourful insults (appealing to the black community. Because they swear a lot, don't they Will? Not in your clean raps, but the 'other' kind of black folks, the n-s, right?) and then accidentally Streisand effect your dumbass by drawing attention to the fact that you're a cuckhold. Now you're too pussy for black folk, too violent for the industry and you look like a bitch. Will went with option 6...I would suggest 5 was the best option. Followed by a divorce.

You got something wrong here: If someone genuinely apologizes, accept the apology. To criticize, hackle, belittle, and take apart someone's public apology, makes you a creep. For anyone who doubled their efforts to hurt a person after they have apologized, should apologize themselves. We call these bottom feeders.
