I will never forgive Will Smith for his disgraceful behavior at the 2022 Oscars. Chris Rock is one of my favorite comedians and I couldn’t bear to see him get slapped onstage just because he made a petty joke about Jada’s shaved head. Will should’ve just talked to Chris privately and politely asked him not to poke fun of Jada’s hair, but no, Will just had to go onstage and smack Chris in front of zillions of celebrities anticipating their awards. And I just gotta say, Will is a real animal for causing this drama. And what Will did to Chris still makes me angry and reluctant to look at Will the same way. Kudos to Chris for expressing his feelings about the slap and giving me something to laugh about. I’m on Chris’ side rather than Will’s.

I don't know if I'm the only one who find Will Smith slap scandal sad. Perhaps I did not follow the news fully but my understanding is that Chris made an inappropriate joke about Smith's wife. Here's the thing though, the jokes made in the Fresh Prince were funny. Chris Rock's joke was not🤷. Pretty sure people "laughed" just to make it seem that they were having a good time, but the "comedy" during that night was horrible. I (very) slightly feel for Will Smith. He was caught in an impossible position. His wife was mocked (tamely) but it's his wife and he's a black man and his wife is being dissed.
