I took it as their way of telling us that they lied to the judge to try and get Their Friend The Rapist's sentence reduced, and that they didn't really mean it, which tells me their word is as worthless as seatbelts on a motorcycle. If they truly think he's innocent, then they are as dumb as a box of rocks for believing him. If they think he's guilty, then they are completely in the wrong for trying to help out a predator. Even if scientology is somehow coercing them to make that video, they should have let the blackmail or whatever be exposed before publicly sticking up for a serial rapist. It may be fairly hard for their fans to forget about this. Oh well. Good luck to you.
@Vyxsin69

@@michaelj.beglinjr.2804 they wrote "character witness" letters, which is when you tell the judge about the person you know them to be at face value. Keep in mind, there are family members out there that do unspeakable things to children in their own family and no one knows because they'd never expect it from them. You can never know what is going on in someone else's head or how dark and disturbing their thoughts can be if they never show that side of themselves to you. They knew Danny as a good person so that's what they wrote. That's all. If you didn't know what someone was doing behind closed doors, you'd think they were still the great person they pretend to be around you and you'd probably write a similar letter too. I believe Scientology covered up a lot of Danny's attacks on his victims.
@cogb.9451
@cogb.9451 Жыл бұрын
@@michaelj.beglinjr.2804the more I read about this sentence, the more doubts I’m having The victims waited 15 years to say anything 15 years ?? I can understand if they we’re underage to wait that long as in most likely they didn’t comprehend what happened to them and were scared something bad would happen to them or their family if they spoke out. The 3 counts of charges rape were from two women who were 23 at the time and one who was 28. If it’s rape, you think at that age, they would of gone straight to the police and report it. Damning evidence would be fresh, DNA, any bruises on both sides(she from being forced and him from her trying to defend herself) The trail was a case of accusations and not physical evidence “On November 10, 2021, Los Angeles County Judge Ronald S. Coen ruled that the testimony of the alleged victims was credible and sufficient to support the charges, setting trial for August 29, 2022 in Judge Olmedo's courtroom” So to me that basically means what we said is good enough to prosecute Reading that makes me think did it happen or did they make it up? I don’t know and won’t judge or take sides in this Is this a genuine rape or something made up are my thoughts because of no physical evidence in this case. I then read this The August 29 trial date was subsequently rescheduled for October 11, 2022, at the request of Masterson's lawyers. Near the end of the month-long trial, Masterson decided not to testify nor call witnesses in his defense. Both parties rested their cases on November 14, 2022, and made their closing arguments the following day. The jury deadlocked after three days in deliberation; instead of declaring a mistrial, the judge ordered the jury to resume deliberations the week after Thanksgiving. The jury remained deadlocked once deliberations resumed; consequently, a mistrial was declared on November 30, 2022. The jury foreman said that the panel of six men and six women leaned towards acquitting Masterson on all counts because they found the testimonies of the complainants inconsistent and implausible; for instance, one Jane Doe testified in court that Masterson threatened her with a gun during the attack, but a firearm was not mentioned when she reported to the police: "The big big problem for her, credibility-wise, was the gun present in the testimony but not in the early reports", the jury foreman said. Retrial A new trial was held in April and May 2023 and on May 31 Masterson was convicted of two of the three counts of forcible rape. The jury was hung 8-4 in favor of conviction on the third charge. Masterson was remanded without bail until sentencing. As of June 2, he was incarcerated at Men's Central Jail in Los Angeles, in "administrative segregation" for his safety. In July 2023, prosecutors announced that they would not retry Masterson on the charge which had resulted in a hung jury. That’s why I have doubts

Eh, the public isn’t demanding an apology. All they’ve done is say they won’t be supporting the celebrity anymore. The reason these celebrities do these apologies is because their income and status will take a hit. In some cases just saying something like “I’m an idiot and I shouldn’t have said that” works far better than some long winded speech that comes off sounding like it was said more to get on the cover of gossip magazines.

Alec Baldwin’s apologies story it’s pretty sad. I hate seeing how he did that I actually know his nephew and we’re pretty much friends, but on the other hand, Will Smith slapping Chris Rock was so unpredictable, and then many Chris Rock apologize that was pretty sad. It’s so sad to see how celebrities get in trouble and then they apologize for their behavior. That’s just so unpredictable of them to do these things they have really sad stories.

Well, sometimes an apology isn’t enough to regain trust of other celebrities or fans. A celebrity has to prove himself or herself that they saw the error of their ways and keep their promise not to overdo it.

If black people don't want white people to say the N word. Then rappers need to take the word out of the songs they put out. I don't understand how someone singing along with a song is racist for saying the the damn lyrics. That isn't racist, it's someone singing along to a song that they like.

Here's the thing, and I'm sorry if somebody's offended. That's not my intention. But I'm speaking from a black person's perspective. When it comes to the Justin and Janet thing, of course Justin didn't get penalized to the fullest. He's a white man and even though Janet is a celebrity and Michael Jackson little sister, they don't care, she's still black and she's still a woman. So of course she got the hardest cards dealt to her, because of that. And, yes Will Smith was wrong for slapping Chris Rock but, I think they did a bit much and they penalized him to the fullest. But Mark wahlberg, attacked someone physically and used racial slurs, and he didn't even get all that back lash. Because once again, he's a white male and unfortunately White privilege cater to white folks, even in hollywood. And the chick from glee, and Paula Deen. They received back lash but, not to the fullest like black celebrities do, for doing way less than, what they have done. And I'm only speaking on that because, we see a lot of it but, no one cares. I don't expect anyone who's not black to understand but, that's the reality of it. And mel Gibson making racist comments about Jews, it didn't cost him his career because once again, he's a white male, just like Harvey Weinstein didn't get the same treatment as Bill cosby. Even though they both committed the same crime, because once again, Bill Cosby is black and, he's white. And I'm sorry if somebody's offended but, if you're not black. I don't expect you to understand. And that's all I have to say about that. And no I'm not attacking all white people, I'm just calling it, like it is unfortunately in our society.

The whole blowup over the Super Bowl Nipple was nothing short of childish, stupid, and straight-up vindictive. Why anyone would think a woman's breast is so disgustingly evil that it MUST be hidden at all times is a mystery to me, yet one Republican Senator (or maybe he was a Representative) even said that a woman's breast is not for children to see, which really makes me wonder just what, exactly, he thinks they are for. Putting the smack down on Janet Jackson for that snafu was a disgrace that absolutely reeked of misogyny and victim-blaming, and some people are STILL busting her balls over it to this day. Why is it perfectly acceptable to watch someone get brutally murdered on a TV program, yet unacceptable to show a naked person? We are allowed to see their insides, but not their outsides? That is just an obvious attempt by the zealots to force us into conforming to0 their warped views on everything. Good luck to you all.

Why I don't believe Paula Deen is that in a closed session hearing she is perfectly fine telling them they she "of course" said the word to her husband and it sounded like it was often. For her to say she "regrets" her mistake, what mistake is she talking about? Just one time she used that word or what?

To be fair, the worst celebrity apologies were from Will Smith and Ellen DeGeneres. Will Smith slapping Chris Rock and yelling at him and cussing him out in the audience was assault and a no-no that could’ve landed him behind bars. Chris Rock is one of my favorite comedians and I couldn’t bear to see him get slapped onstage over poking fun at Jada’s hair condition, which he was completely unaware of. And I’m relieved to hear Chris Rock’s response to the slap in his Netflix standup, Selective Outrage and that Will Smith is now banned from attending any Academy events for the next 10 years. His apologies weren’t enough to regain his friendship with Chris Rock or trust from the Academy and other celebrities including Jim Carrey, Kathy Griffin and Paul Rodriguez. What Will Smith did was inexcusable, unforgivable and the video of him slapping Chris Rock is going to be there forever and will last a long time. Ellen DeGeneres mistreating the talk show staff and guests are the reason her show ended in 2022. These allegations from employees included sexual misconduct, racism, and intimidation. Additionally, three of the show’s executive producers oversaw a workplace culture where sexual harassment and inappropriate touching was pervasive. One longtime current employee told BuzzFeed News that DeGeneres’s letter to staffers didn’t seem to be written by the talk show host herself. Actresses Megan Fox, Kathy Griffin and Dakota Johnson have called out DeGeneres in public for her condescending behavior. Ellen’s apologies and decision to end her talk show were certainly not enough for her guests and former fans to hold their breath on.

Ellen Degeneres, I can't really defend. Will Smith, however? I'm not gonna sit here and say he was right to slap Chris Rock, but maybe there was more going on in his head that caused him to react like that. I think he did say he was in a bad place for some time before. While Will could have reacted differently, that was probably the straw that broke the camel's back and he exploded. That's just me
