I don't believe that for a second. In fact, I heard he was mega pissed off about the show when it happened because he knew he had to suck it up and roll with it. He was particularly pissed off about them making fun of his music. He's fancied himself as a rock star since his teen aged years back in NZ when he led a shitty band called Roman Antix that got nowhere. They have a clip on KZbin. Crowe is a serious a hole. I can only assume that Cesar’s response was especially positive simply because his portrayal was quite positive, since many of the other parodies take jabs at celebrities at every turn, for good or ill. Of course if you can genuinely put Cartman in his place, you earn mad props.

@George Gombas he wasn’t right though, nearly every prediction he made in that has been proven false. The world was basically supposed to end by the mid 2010s if you believe Al Gore’s nonsense. One thing did come out of that though, he became the first billionaire to make the majority of their money off of “green” technology. I think the saddest one is the Brittany Spears episode, especially after her testimony this week. South Park nailed it we all played a part in her destruction the public, her friends, her family and the paparazzi even people she thought she could trust. I hope she is free to live her life, have kids if she chooses, and spend HER money anyway she wants!! ❤️ Love when South Park says something and they are right about it!

I watched a spoof of Jimmy Fallon's monologue and it was SO far off, it didn't actually look or sound like him or sound remotely like what he'd say in his monologue. I think South Park has some good points but I don't think their content is enjoyable for people who aren't super angry.

George Clooney is a fan and a good friend of theirs; he was singing the praises of Cannibal: The Musical back when Matt and Trey were fledgling filmmakers. I think it's great that they weren't shy about calling him out on the episode "Smug Alert." I think it's also great that they don't revere and lionize celebrities like talk show hosts do.

England's slander laws strongly favour plaintiffs. It's one of the easiest places in the world to sue if you want to shut down someone saying things about you that you don't like. Given how often people have taken issue with South Park, I'm sure Matt and Trey know that sort of thing. It's a clever dig that comes off as just bizarre at first glance.

Honestly the more they go after celebrities that throw fits about their portrayals the more I enjoy it. When a celebrity takes the heat and then just laughs it off I think it’s a cool moment and I typically appreciate the celebrity more

Only three celebs took it offended while the rest found them funny. I was sure that like half of the celebs would be offend but a large portion said otherwise. Even the Russel Growe episode has made the celeb to reflect on his actions. As soon as I find that the creators made the two part episodes of ManBearPig being real as an apology for Al Gore, I wouldn’t expect to learned that the guy was chill about those episodes. I guess… it’s alright for me to watch the three Al Gore episodes.

Isaac hayes was unfortunately a scientologist and quit the show. But they may have went a little too far in how they killed off chef. Although I heard that isaac forgave Matt and trey before he died

If I was a celebrity, I would be honored to be made fun of by South park. It's almost like a musician being parodied by Weird Al... It's all in fun, and it really just means that you hit a new level. Respect to the celebs who were ok with it, and extra respect if they watched it and found the humor in it. And most respect of all goes to Brian Boitano! Not only did he enjoy the humor, but he parlayed that humor into merchandise where all the profit went to charity. Now THAT is one hell of a class act right there!!!

The level to which a celebrity gets offended is proportional to 3 factors: 1 How bad the character of the celebrity depicted appears to be in the episode 2 How accurately the episode portrays the celebrity's true character 3 How narcissistic the celebrity is (how big their ego is and how seriously they take themselves, in how much denial they are regarding their character flaws, and how strongly they feel that they are superior and too good to be the object of satire)

One of my favorites was probably Brad Paisley. Heard they went to him with an idea to parody him and he was all for it and even said he was okay with it as long as he got to voice himself. Also the Scientology episode showed what a hypocrite Issac Hayes was. Pretty much making fun of every race and religion was okay unless it was Scientology.

I used to tour with Dennis DeYoung from the band STYX as a technician. On nights him and the band were having a lot of fun he’d bring out a small Cartman doll as they played Come Sail Away. He absolutely loved it and would occasionally sing in a cartman voice lol
